Umami Bistro Bar — Restaurant in Valencia

This is one of the newest restaurants to have opened its doors in our neighbourhood. It is, in one word, SUBLIME!

The chef Miguel really loves food and wants his guests to enjoy and savour the flavours of the produce, meat, fish and recipes he serves up. Coupled with a fantastic local wine selection and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, this has easily become one of our favourites.

Meals are a little pricey when compared to Valencia average dinner prices, but you pay for what you get, and in this case you get top notch quality. We have dined both inside and on their street tables. I can honestly say that inside was the better option, for one simple reason, the chairs they have outside are REALLY uncomfortable.

We ate main courses of duck, fish and steak and we each tried three different desserts. I was so enthralled by the food I forgot to take photo's of the other main courses. Every one of them was delicious.

A simple but well poised menu, executed with finesse and great care proves that this chef knows what he's doing and cares how he's doing it. Long may...

Un oasis de sabor en Valencia

Comida excepcional, ambiente cálido y acogedor, y un menú diario siempre distinto y muy elaborado.

El local es precioso, con una decoración moderna y elegante con mucha luz natural que entra por los amplios ventanales y crea un ambiente cálido y acogedor, perfecto para disfrutar de una comida con amigos o familiares.

El menú diario es una verdadera joya, con una gran elaboracion y con ingredientes frescos y de temporada. Cada día hay opciones diferentes, lo que te permite descubrir nuevos sabores y texturas.

Los platos son una obra de arte, tanto en su presentación como en su sabor. Se nota que el chef pone pasión en cada creación, combinando ingredientes de forma magistral para crear platos deliciosos y equilibrados.

He probado una gran variedad de platos y todos me han encantado.

En definitiva, el UMAMI es un restaurante excepcional que te recomiendo encarecidamente si estás buscando una experiencia gastronómica única en Valencia.
