Bar Chavolas — Restaurant in Vigo

Chavolas is open since 1907 and when you have that much experience, there is a good chance you know what you are doing.

And they do.

Warm welcome, we were seated in the large room which is probably the most atmospheric. Waiters patient to explain menu and options, made good recommendations for wine (the Roda!), friendly and fun.

The octopus was delicious, croquetas were OK and the steak, grilling and cut at the table, was well executed and cooked to perfection.

Chavolas delivers really good value, price/quality ratio is unbeatable by the competition, we loved our evening at this restaurant and would highly recommend.

About €50/person including bottle of wine.

I have travelled the world extensively and though I enjoy many types of food, every so often a restaurant surprises me with a truly unforgettable meal. This was one such meal- -Definitely a top 10 in my life!

My wife & I stumbled across Chavolas by accident and were both blown away. Every bite of the octopus appetizer was incredible. I've never had octopus meat so soft AND delicious. My whole fish was fanastic too. Her egg & potato dish was very uniquely done and scrumptious as well.

Every bite was AWESOME.

We left extremely satisfied and, if we're ever within 100 miles of this place again, we'd go out of our way to return just for one...

AC wasn’t working for some time, so it was very hot, otherwise atmosphere was okay a bit loud. Service was great, but we had a bit of disagreement. We celebrated a birthday and when we booked the place we asked if we could bring a cake, they said yes, but on the day of the event, they rejected us and didn’t let us enter with the cake, because they only allow what you get from their selection, which wasn’t communicated to us, so the cake was getting soft because we were walking with it to the restaurant and in the end we had to walk with it home to put it in a fridge….I am a bit...
