An Absolute Gem in Vigo!
Taberna Eligio io is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Galician dining experience. From the moment you step into this charming eatery tucked away in a lively alley, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal.
The food is nothing short of spectacular - every dish bursts with flavor and is crafted with care. Highlights for us included the perfectly tender "pulpo à feira," "gambas plancha" and "vieiras pacifico plancha". Reasonably priced wine list too, with wines from about 20€. Wine by the glass also available. We paid €100 for two people, of which €28 was wine.

Currently reading his book Death on a Galician Shore starring an inspector who comes into Taberna Eligio regularly and seems to like it as much as we did! Highly recommended. Great Taberna, great...
