Reasonable start as we were seated quickly at an unmade table, went downhill after that. Waiting staff all friendly enough but service was slow (two waiters took separate drinks orders and table wasn't set until dinner arrived). Sangria was okay, nice touch with the way it was presented. The meat and chorizo paella was bland and taseteless with one of the meats indistinguishable (we guessed / hoped rabbit). Paid the bill and went to the toilet before setting off when I spotted something crawling along the bathroom floor. Took a photo, showed it to one of the waiters and suggested they might want to clean it up (better to know and do something about it in my opinion, figured i was doing rhe right thing). Waiter responded appropriately and said he'd tell the manager. Job done I thought. Next thing I know, the manager is in my face in the middle of the restaurant telling me not to tell his staff to clean the toilets (I hadn't), and blaming other clients because they'd left food on the floor (still the restaurant's responsibility to maintain standards). The manager was extraordinarily rude despite me explaining that I hadn't told his staff to clean the toilets and that I thought I was helping by bringing this to his attention. His response was to tell me to calm down and sit down! I DO NOT recommend this restaurant based on the poor service alone, especially as the food was mediocre at best. Others seemed to be having a better experience, I won't be going back.

Restaurante Mamma Rossa in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, is an absolute gem! During our five-night stay on the island, this restaurant stood out as our favorite dining experience. We had a memorable evening sipping Prosecco while watching the sun set over the Playa Blanca seafront. The Beef Carpaccio was a delightful surprise - perfectly chilled meat adorned with mushrooms, cheese, and rocket, drizzled with olive oil. It was a new and exquisite culinary experience for me and my partner. For our mains, we indulged in the chorizo and mixed meat paella, which was prepared and served right in front of us by our friendly waiter. It was a showstopper, attracting the attention of others in the restaurant. The attention to detail at Mamma Rossa is exceptional, evident in the beautifully recommended, presented, and served dishes. I have no doubt that I'll return to this enchanting island, and when I do, Mamma Rossa will be at the top of my dining list. A must-visit for anyone seeking exceptional cuisine with a view to match.

We tried to go to another restaurant but it was closed due to holiday so we took the first we encountered which was this one. The waiter was very kind and told some jokes. We ordered some tapas, garlic bread, croquettes, pasta, chorizo, devil muzzles, fried baby squid and some chicken wings. Best was the squids (I would guess they are hard to fail) everything else was a bit so and so. Chicken wings s bit dry and boring with BBQ sauce, chorizo was too chewy, muzzles were probably the worst, not spicy and didn't taste too much. The croquettes were actually quite good with a nice garlic dip. Pasta also ok, not overcooked but the carbonara sauce a bit watery.

We visited Mamma Rosa for the first time since opening after a very good refurbishment. However, as residents, this is I’m sorry to say the worst restaurant I have been in for 3 years in Lanzarote. Utterly chaotic and the worst, albeit friendly, service I have ever had the misfortune to experience in Playa Blanca. We were given 1 menu between 4 despite asking twice for more. When ordering our first drinks of beer after waiting over 15 minutes, the waiter thought we’d ordered water. We waited another 10 minutes only to be told the waiter who took our drinks order was in fact not the drinks waiter and we should order again! One shared pizza starter was stone cold when arrived. We said don’t bother replacing as our friends had nearly finished their starter when ours arrived. Then 10 minutes later, the partly eaten pizza arrived which we said too late. We then waited nearly an hour for our food which was distinctly average. No sauce as described on the menu for the sole, dry chicken and very chewy steak, so out of 4 meals poor. One of the Uruguayan waiters hadn’t a clue, and walked aimlessly around, failing to clear side plates from our starters. The manager slightly apologised but blamed the computer system and being busy. We heard so many other tables complaining about the waiting times, service and food. You can’t blame a computer system for untrained staff and poor food can you? We thought the evening comical, but as a new restaurant it won’t service if this is how they treat customers. As residents, we are highly unlikely to go back and cannot recommend it to any friends that stay. In fact I cannot, sadly, recommend this shambolic restaurant...

AVOID AVOID OMG ! This it hast to be to worse place I've ever tried to eat. We got there and order a few starters , the food looked like was out of a frozen packet, decoration of the dishes not existent , and luck warm. This raise alarms but we thought that we couldn't go wrong with the 4 cheese pizza that we've both ordered. Unfortunately I was VERY wrong, the pizza arrived and the artisan daugh was like an undercooked foccacia , that think and because the dough was not fermented enough it has a raw daugh taste, but the topping of the pizza ! OmG ! How can you destroy a 4 cheese pizza ??? Some cheese was added, burnt to death, and the reheated again with double cream on top, absolutely vile ! We had a small bite and I've told my partner that I was not prepared to eat that , we both agreed . We simply asked for the bill and the waiter that noticed that we had one small bite of one Sliced asked if it was OK? I replied that I wasn't prepared to eat that as it was the worse I ever tasted. He left to get the bill and come back (charging also for the 2 pizzas) why asking what is wrong if you don't care about your customers? Anyway , I couldn't care, I paid the bill and while I was paying the bill I was ordering a pizza takeaway somewhere else as it was now to late to be seated in...
