Terrible Experience – Overcharged and Disrespectful Staff!

I had a very disappointing experience at MAIN Sports Bar & Restaurant (Havelock City Center). My friends and I ordered 4 cocktails, followed by a chicken and mushroom pie and a cocktail pitcher. Instead of keeping everything under one bill, they billed the 4 cocktails separately without informing us and then created another bill for the rest.

Here’s the worst part: they closed the first bill without asking, forcing me to pay twice—including their high service charge and tax—on both bills! When I questioned them about this, they gave a ridiculous excuse, saying, “We close bills order by order.” They claimed they had already closed the first bill and only closed the second one when we requested it.

However, the billing times tell a different story—the first bill was closed at 23:56, and the second at 00:08. What a lie!

On top of this, the waiters were extremely rude and unhelpful, saying they couldn’t do anything. This place has a ridiculously high service charge, yet the staff is disrespectful and unwilling to assist customers.

Went for lunch today with parents. The server started off with saying around 3–4 items were not available in the menu. Then we ended up ordering Nasi goreng(shrimp) Mongolian beef rice And a beef burger

We also ordered some drinks and a beer.the food took over and hour to get to us and the restaurant served the food one at a time. First we got the nasi goreng for my dad and by the time we got the second dish(the Mongolian beef) the first person had already done eating! (Believe me when I say he ate as slowly as possible)We waited patiently and asked the servers feee times why it’s taking the food so long to get to us.he said the restaurant was busy but we could see about 4-5 tables being occupied at lunch hour and clearly the restaurant was not busy.

After waiting for over and hour for our food we had to cancel the dish I ordered which was a beef burger and leave. Really terrible experience so I do not recommend this place for lunch though they advertise lunch specials!! Totally disappointing! We tried their Bread and butter pudding. Since we were in a hurry we asked for take out. On the menu it says it is served with stewed strawberry jam. However, when the bill was paid the cashier asked me to come to the counter to collect the item after 10 minutes. When I went through the receipt, he has added service charge (Wonder for what?) when I myself went to the counter to order and also to pick up the item. The pudding tasted awful. It was bitter and sour with no strawberry jam to be seen. It resembles nothing like what was shown on the menu.
