If I could give a rating below one I would do that. We visited playdium on the 11th of May to take our toddler for some Sunday entertainment. Forget about the whole card and minimum top up that is perfectly fine but the attitude of the staff especially the ‘Team Leader’. Our son was playing inside the kid’s play area and there was some pushing and shoving involved as with kids when they play over swings and things like that. We were always around keeping an eye on him and then another parent from the outside was saying something to him pointing fingers and my son traumatized by this started crying he came around luckily my husband saw the entire thing. Then after a couple of mins this girl screams at my husband saying ‘your kid is crying take care of him’ - this was in front of an entire set of parents in a tone I am sure most of you would be able to gauge. When my husband was complaining about this I went to speak to her to get her side and she proceeded to point at their rule board in the most audacious look and tone ever. Apparently they don’t condone violence I told them get rid of your games then anything that promotes fighting, shooting is violence. Their solution was to offer us free top up we said we didn’t want and the next excuse was that the ‘team leader’ was going through a personal problem !!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone not for their facilities but simply for the way the place is run! David Peris I think you need to seriously evaluate the...
Read moreOne of the worst places for kids – better to avoid. There are far better and safer areas in this mall. The main in-charge is extremely rude and uncooperative, making the entire experience unpleasant. Shockingly, this was the first place in Sri Lanka where we encountered such inhospitable behavior.
If a child is left alone in the play area, there is no staff assistance at all, and instead of being helpful, the staff makes fun of outsiders. Very disappointing, unsafe for children, and not worth visiting.
In reply to the owner . My kid is 3.5 years he doesn’t need to be babysit. You clearly disagreed to send someone in the play area and said one will watch from outside only . The higher reaches of play area are high and can’t be monitored . I must mention No country including ours is having such policy where assistance is not provided in the play zone from inside To clarify they don’t baby sit they see no one gets hurt at both the ground level and the second level of nets . You were more concerned that because of the weight of your staff that area will break ..Secondly you and your staff had such rude behaviour all previous google reviews project the same … GOD SAVE THOSE GO TO YOUR PLACE AND MAY GOD TEACH YOU SOME...
Read moredisappointing experience.
I came to Playdium at One Galle Face with my kids, and we decided to try the bowling alley. I asked the cashier if we could play a game for two people, and she told me it was fine. So I purchased a ticket assuming it was for two players.
When we went to start the game, we realized the ticket was actually for one person to play 20 rounds (10 rounds twice) – not two people. This was clearly a miscommunication from the cashier’s side.
We asked the manager for help and explained the situation politely, but instead of trying to assist, he was rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional. He cut us off mid-sentence and kept saying, “It’s already in the system, nothing can be done,” in a sarcastic tone — no apology, no understanding.
He then told us to go back to the cashier, and thankfully, the girl at the counter was very kind and helpful. She immediately understood the mistake and fixed the ticket without any issue.
The only reason I’m not giving zero stars is because of the cashier’s great attitude. But the manager needs serious training on basic customer service and respect. You don’t talk down to customers. Disappointed and won’t recommend this place as long as this kind of...
