Received the worst and very much disgusted service ever in my life from Chola Authentic Indian Restaurant - One Galle Face . Had gone with my wife and 3 year old daughter. There was a bit of quarrel while entering the place at about 9 with their not so friendly staff named Uzman. Boy did he make sure we had a great time. From his sarcastic greeting, the time he got to take the order (most of the items was not available when I asked. The I ordered which I made also never came) and how he made sure that all the other staff also ignore us. His accomplice was another very cold hearted girl named Sumaiya who was roaming around (said she didn't see us when asked). We placed order around 9. 10. A person came to the table asking if that'd be all around 9.50 pm. Where we only got 2 water bottles, a mango lassie (not so worthy of mentioning) and a mango juice (why did we even order it?). They didn't want me to pay for items I got as the others never came. As I was not there for free food I insisted they bill me and made the payment + service charge for a service I never got. The craziest part happened after I told the boy that none of my orders came another girl came to apologizing saying she didn't know how they missed the order and she will correct it and will arrange it within ANOTHER 10 MINUTES. All this time my little girl was waiting for the food only having some sips of water. I can't believe how inhumane people can be even after seeing a child and willingly making her starve. I called the CHOLA Authentic Indian Restaurant main branch hoping they would at least take notice of the incident. To (not so much of) my surprise the person who attended the phone asked me to complaint to the particular branch as they are not from the same location. All the staff were already aware and how can I make a complaint when I know it will...

Location : On the third floor, closer to the Dialog experience center.
Ambience : Spacious and bright place with seating for about 70-80 people.
There are some cool, eye catching, tamil movie related wall art at the entrance, which is what made us go in.
Service : Excellent. Very pleasant and courteous staff. Five stars on this!
Food took about 15mins to arrive, which was acceptable.
Food : Ordered a prawn dum biriyani, a chicken stuffed parata, a butter chicken masala curry, sweet lime juice and a badam kulfi.
In short, everything was on point and perfect. One of the best meals that we have reviewed.
Prawn biriyani was well cooked with the right amount of seasoning. Had a decent amount of prawns too.
The chicken stuffed parata, is a must try. Comes with minced chicken stuffed in four pizza slice sized parata pieces.
The butter chicken curry made both the biriyani and the parata, even better. The curry had decent amount of chicken pieces and the gravy was tasty on its own. If at all to complain, the chicken pieces weren’t big enough. They were more of chicken strips.
Badam or the Almond kulfi was a novel experience. Kulfi which is a denser version of the usual ice cream was really good too. Haven’t had this before, so nothing to compare against.
Sweet lime was the basic lime juice you and I, make at home. Nothing to complain on that
VFM : If you are looking for good Indian food and not tight on budget, this could be the go to place. Overall a good place with really good food, but on the expensive side.

Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your outlet. Unfortunately, the quality of service and attention to customer requests fell far below expectations.
We had specifically requested our watermelon juice to be served without ice and the kulukki to be served with ice. However, the order was prepared exactly the opposite way. This level of inattention to clear instructions is quite frustrating.
Furthermore, when I asked for some ice cubes to rectify the issue, I was given a cup filled with ice. Upon noticing a white substance floating on the ice, I inquired about it, and the staff casually mentioned that the ice cubes were mixed with milk and had been kept forzen. . This response was not only confusing but also unprofessional. This is especially concerning because the ice was served along with watermelon juice that was meant for children. There was no transparency about the quality or freshness of these ice cubes, and who knows how long the milk had been sitting frozen? This raises serious hygiene and safety concerns.
Additionally, the almond doodh, which was clearly expected to be served hot, was brought to us cold. On top of that, the Fish Malai Tikka we ordered was clearly not fresh, lacking both flavor and texture — another huge letdown.
The overall customer service was extremely poor, and the food simply did not justify the price paid. Basic expectations around quality, hygiene, and attentiveness were not met.
This experience was truly disappointing, and I sincerely hope you take immediate steps to address these issues with your staff and...
