Galle Face Urban Forest Park — Attraction in Colombo

It's still more or less a construction area so the views aren't that great also, there are few upmarket quick eats mini restaurants in the premises including a liquor store but even if you go there at 8pm on a Friday there's not a crowd and it feels very empty. However this is a good thing of you're going thwre with your gf or bf so that you can have a nice peaceful time. After 9 - 10 pm there's almost no one in the path and it's a nice place to take a walk or sit and have a chat....

Food was good but a stall charged Rs.100 for a small bottle of water which was price marked clearly Rs.35 when another chared just Rs.50 for a large. Keep an eye on the price list before purchasing. There was also no water storage facility (on a day like today when entire Colombo is going through a water cut) so need not say about the washrooms 🤮 Also some lovebirds who didn't realize it was a public place gave the audience a free show on, which I need...

Nice little place with a great view of the lake and surrounding skyscrapers. Some food stalls with open area concrete seating facilities. Nice landscaping with trees to enjoy.

No parking available unless you park on the road curb. Still not much traffic on the Baladaksha road, so some park motorbikes and enjoy this place.

Not much noticed or crowded at the moment. That might change when Cinnamon Life...
