Crazy Burger Restaurant / Crazy Coastal — Restaurant in Weligama

I was starving for kotthu this evening, and found ourselves at this place. Simply stunning mixed kotthu here. I tried kotthu at so many different places across the island, and the best so far is here. The special thing is that they make chilli paste with prawns and fish, and serve it with green gravy. Altogether makes kotthu simply amazing. The guys working here are nice and friendly, and we had a great conversation. They really take care of the food they make, and they make it special. Idk why this place has so many optimistic reviews, the food is absolutely disappointing as well as some drinks. I took the crispy chicken burger - the chicken was dry, old, and at the same time the breading was in the fat old oil. No sauce! 2 slices of cucumber, 1 piece of tasteless tomato and the cheapest piece of “cheese”. This place is just not about the food, and defo not the burgers (please ask your chef not to cook ever again) 2 out of 5. The place a bit dirty, the bathroom also a bit dirty....

Their rice and curry is great - unfortunately I went for the burger which really isn't what you might think. The burgers are huge with loads of toppings. The main issue is that the burger patties are more like a thin schnitzel not a typical beef or chicken pattie.

My partner had the veggie burger and loved it (sort of like a pulled pork style made with Jack fruit) and firends who had the curry (huge delicious portions) and noodles loved...
