[GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN] If you are here in Gothenburg's market hall, be sure to check out the restaurant on the 2nd floor, as their seafood dishes were amazing 😍

We first had Seasonal Oysters 🦪 (295 SEK) and they were so fresh and meaty. Definitely preferred the Swedish ones, as they had the right balance of brine flavour and savouriness.

Next up were our mains, which their daily lunch menu of Seafood Bouillabaisse 🍲 (225 SEK) was exceptional. All seafood ingredients of mussels and shrimps were fresh and the soup boasts rich seafood flavour that just shouts in your face. It can get quite salty, so do ask for some bread! The star of the show is definitely the par seared salmon on top, as it was so perfectly cooked and fatty. The skin was perfectly done and crispy.

The other Fish and Seafood Soup 🍲 (265 SEK) was also good, just that the base was cream instead of tomato. The fish within was so tender and meaty!

You might miss this place as you walk through the market as it is upstairs. The restaurant although nicely set up could be cozier and have a bit more character. That is all made up with the fantastic service and delicious seafood! Our server was so friendly and gave some great recommendations. I wish I would have gotten his name as he deserves recognition. We got the cold peel and eat shrimp to start. The shrimp was so fresh and had a slightly sweet taste to it. Then I got the fried trout with shrimp and it was incredible. Slightly fried on the outside and extremely tender and flaky fish on the inside. The shrimp that accompanied the fish was just sweet and juicy. My partner got the gravlax and she loved it.
