A big disappointment!

I never write reviews, especially bad reviews, but this time I must do it. First of all, the restaurant is very cold, the wind comes inside easily from the windows and my table was not very clean because there were crumbs on it. I ignored these details because I was looking forward to eating pizza, I have been waiting for this moment for a week! On the menu (which is not available in english) I see that there is pizza margherita, my favourite, with mozzarella di bufala, mozzarella fior di latte and parmesan. For an Italian, I can say that it is very odd to find margherita with Parmesan, but it doesn't matter. I asked if it was possible to have only mozzarella on top of the pizza as I don't like other types of cheese. If it wasn't possible, I would have ordered another meal without any problems. They kindly told me it could have been made without parmesan. Great! After a while, they gave me the pizza emphasizing that there was no Parmesan on it, double great! I started eating my pizza and I felt that something was strange. There was not only mozzarella, as requested and as they told me: it was clear to my nose and in my mouth that there was a mix of cheese on the pizza, and not only the mozzarella which has a quite light flavour. Here it was clear that there was a different cheese in addition to the mozzarella because something was strong. And I don't like this type of cheese. Even though I had a specific request and they had assured me that all was ok, they didn't respect what I asked and they lied to me, which is silly. I could not stand the smell and therefore I could not eat the pizza. In all my life, this has never happened to me, and I have eaten many pizzas since I am Italian. Gently I went to speak about the problem with the owner who, covertly, admits that there was also other cheese on the pizza and that it could not be done otherwise by saying that "on margherita pizza, the cheese is king". Yes, but it was enough to put only the mozzarella as the client requested or simply tell me that it was not possible to change the recipe. I would have accepted it ! She asked what she could then do for me and I asked for the menu to order something else. By now my partner had almost finished eating and there was no point in ordering another dish and maybe eat it later and by myself. So I ordered a dessert. The dessert was tiny and unfortunately not very good, not their fault. After a little while, we went to pay and the owner was quite rude, I must admit it. She did not apologize, did not mention the fact and even made me pay for the cake. Of course it is right that I pay what I ordered and ate but you know, the courtesy wanted her to try to apologize and maybe make amends with a symbolic gesture. This is the way I am used to, my bad ! this is a restaurant that I do not recommend, especially to Italians. The problem with the pizza could have been solved easily but the owner was deliberately rude and this unacceptable for a restaurant. I am sorry. one positive note:...

Took my family here for my wife's birthday. Our first visit since covid. We have come here for years but the restaurant has improved so incredibly much since three years ago it's mind blowing. It used to be a great brunch buffet. What we found was a five course lunch that was absolutely among the best places in Skåne and could rival the best in Stockholm or Copenhagen.

My wife her friends and my family are all impressed with the food.

We arrived to a set table of yogurt fresh bread toppings for breakfast sandwiches and spiced fruit. The staff came around with coffee tea and juice. After eating our full they put out to the buffet herring, smoked salmon, and other gourmet treat's.

Then they arrived to the table eggs Benedict paired with smoked salmon on a bread. And we thought wow what a great meal.

Then they came out with fresh pizza on warm home baked crust.

After that was a premium steak Ribeye (Ryggbiff) with baked pumpkin and rootbeat and a goat cheese cream.

Then the dessert came with a whipped chocolate mousse cake a rhubarb sorbet and a buffet of delicacy cheeses and jam.

Completely overwhelmed with the amount of care and quality put into the food. Fantastic service as well. A great place to visit and catch up and very child friendly.

Unanimously agreed we needed to come back again!

Update came here for the anniversary. Can say the dinner menu is also as impressive. Excellent service that really goes out of the way to get what you want right. Pizza steak high quality vegetarian and fantastic wine coffee and dessert. Truly excels...

However, the slight culinary hiccup was more than compensated by the exemplary service. Our waitress epitomized the essence of warmth and efficiency. She not only attended to our needs but did so with an authenticity that made us feel truly special.

To sum it up, while there's a bit of room for culinary enhancement at Hos Talevski i Stadsparken, the overall atmosphere and top-tier service make it an establishment worth experiencing.
