A Culinary Gem: An Unforgettable Indian Dining Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at South Indian restaurant, Lund, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that perfectly set the stage for an authentic Indian feast.

The menu offers an incredible variety of traditional dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and aromatic spices. We started with the Chicken Lollypop and Prawn 65, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and tasted delicious. The Village Chicken Curry was simply outstanding—tender, home dish, and perfectly spiced. We also tried the Fish Curry which was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of delicious taste.

What truly set this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. The meal was complemented by freshly cooked chicken biryani. which is absolutely divine.

To end the meal, we indulged in gulab jamun, which was warm, soft, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. Every bite transported us straight to the heart of India!

This got to have had paid reviews to score this high. The wait for food was, I clocked it, 100 minutes. And it was consistent for all the tables where we sat, order to arrival. If they arrived. They seemed to have no idea of what table had ordered most of the time. Drinks arrived now randomly, mains, starters, and the like as well. And we never received our dessert. They were repeatedly reminded after an hour to get the order. They never gave any explanation aside that rice took time at the very end. It takes 10 minutes to cook that. Seriously, amateur hour. Bad service, despite 5 servers and barely adequate food, which took an hour and a half to arrive, leaving us a scant 15 minutes to eat before a show. Apology, none. Pay in full, yes. You can do a lot better than this place. I can't phantom how they got so many good reviews considering their performance.

Addendum: In response, no information was given on arrival about delays. Despite asking several times, this was never referenced but merely dodged. I also refer you to consider that this restaurant is located in Lund, not Malmö, when you read the reviews. And I reiterate, despite 5 servers none was served out of order, we all waited. 4 waiters could have easily been sitting down and the service would have been the same.
