M.E.A.T. — Restaurant in Lund Municipality

The staff is super nice for sure but my rating is purely based on the quality of burger.. I had brought a business acquaintance for an early dinner at around 1800hrs and it was neither busy nor untimely for dinner.. I have been coming here for around 6 years and the quality of the burger has deteriorated dramatically.. the bun was dry and stale.. it was not spongy and was crumbling like dry old white bread.. the moment the first fork went in and me and my guest pressed the bun down with our knives we could see this was a good place to have a conversation but terrible to have a burger.. this would be expected more from a place which freezes it’s buns and patties and takes them out to heat and serve.. The patty it self was not remarkable and lacked flavour and texture.. while leaving my guest said that this place doesn’t deserve to have that burger.. the bun would have been better at a kebab stall.. I really like the place for its ambiance and staff but the food was disappointing and I felt embarrassed to bring my guest for the food.. even though as I mentioned we enjoyed sitting by the window in a pleasant...

I went to M.E.A.T with my boyfriend because I had read in some reviews that they served burgers – his favorite dish – but we were told they haven’t had burgers on the menu for about 8 years. Just a heads-up for anyone expecting them. That said, we ordered the entrecôte and it was excellent – flavorful and perfectly cooked. The wine selection is decent, though not particularly remarkable. We chose an organic Malbec to go with the meat, and it paired really well. The chocolate and raspberry dessert was absolutely delicious – a highlight of the meal.

Service started off strong when we arrived, but after the main course, it felt like we were forgotten. We had to wait quite a while to either order dessert or ask for the bill. A bit more attentive service throughout the meal would really elevate...

M.E.A.T. was awesome. We did have to get a reservation, but it was well worth it. Hipstery, for sure, M.E.A.T. offered a certain ambiance. But beyond that, the food was just great. We got the caviar appetizer and really liked the combination of flavors (including a citrus curd!). The burger was then incredible; the meat was obviously fresh, and the whole thing was a fun adventure to eat. It came with fries and homemade ketchup, too.

Of all the places I ate in Lund, I end up feeling that this was the best, and is a place I'd definitely recommend to friends and other tourists. Good food, good experience, and something memorable. Not...
