Malmstens Fisk & Kök — Restaurant in Lund Municipality

This review is for the store, not the restaurant. Purchased some expensive scallops from them (800+/kg). They placed the plastic bin on the scale when it was at zero, so I ended up paying 32 SEK for just the plastic bin. Absolutely ridiculous.

I understand that the plastic bin costs money, but it should be a set fee for it, not charging based upon the cost of the item put into it. If I bought 200 kr/kg food, I would have paid 8 kr for it. Putting in expensive food doesn’t make the plastic bin more valuable.

Plus, a plastic bag would have done just as well and been a lot more...

Easily one of the best restaurants in Lund. Due to the location across from them having closed recently, they were able to almost double their seating. There's a few items that are always on their menu with one or two daily specials. I have been here at least 20 times since moving to Lund and have never had a bad meal. The meals are very consistent and always of high quality. If you want the daily special though, you'll need to be there...

Sells fresh fish, seafood and various fish/seafood dishes. There is also a small restaurant that also serves fish and seafood.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the fish soup they sell is fantastic. I usually buy them in the store and then take them home to eat.
