Came here on a saturday night and had a somewhat mixed experience. It is a nice small restaurant with a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
The good things: Food had decent flavours and was well presented. Staff polite and friendly. The waiter took the time to joke a bit with us in a polite way. Cosy setting. Good volume, people talking around you didn't get to loud.
Things that could be improved: Only two waiters, which could be ok if they both helped out equally. But one seemed to have trouble with the language, and therefore did not take any orders. He was kind and polite though, but when we sat by our table it took quite a while before we even got the menus. Instead we watched a table getting cleaned off. And even more time passed until they came to take our order, since other people had arrived too.
We were on a tight schedule so we decided to skip starters and go straight for the main dish. We noted that the table next to us with two other people got to order just seconds before us. They got their starters about 15 minutes after. We kept waiting for our main course. 50 minutes passed, then the other table's main arrives, and shortly after ours came too. That is way too long wait for the food, especially when another table get to have a starter in between while we still have to wait...
The entrecote was asked to be medium-rare. As seen in the second picture, it was rather well done.
The panacotta was not made with real vanilla, tasted a bit plastic.
Whipped cream to the brownie was sort of hard, as if it was old or had been frozen.
A bright lamp outside the front door kept turning on a off, which since we sat slice to said door kind of ruined the otherwise nice atmosphere in...
Read moreI have been here a few times due to business-related meetings. The staff was kind as well as polite with one or occasionally two waiters asking if everything is to a person's liking and if they can offer something additional to enhance the confort of the customer. The music, classic/relaxing oriented, is loud enough to be heard but ever so slightly of ensuring that if the restaurant is full it isn't empowering the guests to speak louder.
For the times I have been there new dishes/meals were presented, some more original as well as more delicious than others times, which I find very pleasing and good thus it's mentioned.
I found the all round experience to be very pleasant and can therefore recommend to give it try.
I'm hope that this subjective insight might be of use to those who...
Read moreA very nice restaurant – one of the best in Malmö, located just a few streets away from the city centre. The design and atmosphere are cosy and inviting. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
There is an extensive list of starters, but the selection of main courses is more limited. Please note that most of the main courses contain pork, which makes them less suitable for Muslim guests.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because, in my opinion, that rating is reserved for Michelin-level restaurants, and this one doesn’t fully meet that standard.
That said, it is definitely a great choice for a nice...
