Supposedly authentic Chinese food. But when I lived in China the rice wasn't that dry and neither was the duck. Surprisingly popular place, really thought it would be better. Very crowded place and they expect you to go in an order and take your own water. (asking nicely for water when I sat outdoors I got a cold "you take water yourself indoors" for a reply and it was quite a tight space indoors. Not Corona safe one bit). No restricted seats what I could see (Covid) and the seating despite outdoors was very close to each other. For these lunch prices you can instead get a very nice piece of sushi (maybe even with duck) at other restaurants. I will not be going back here. All Cantonese friends I've made food with cook better than this at home.

We went here for lunch, so the menu was limited, but what was available was superb. We took the crispy pork with rice and the #vegan mapo tofu. Both dishes were amazing. Don’t get me wrong, Chinese restaurants in Copenhagen have been upping their game a lot from the miserably greasy buffet restaurant or the fast food Kina grill that has million things on the menu, but Lu in Malmö is worth mentioning simply because they don’t have much in the menu but what they have were excellently made, and I miss that . I regret it a little bit that we don’t live near Davidshalltorget, but life is indeed unfair sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’ll be back whenever I’m on the other side of the pond!

Not the most pleasant experience to eat at this restaurant. The food was exquisite, very tasty and good portions! (With a slight comment about the duck main course which was half bones half meat, not really what is expected...) However, the service was not good. The waitress working there was quite rude and not welcoming towards us at all. Also, all dishes used for the food was plastic which gave me a very "cheap restaurant" vibe. Toilets were so small and you can barely move in there at all! That space should not be called a WC. I would definitely get take-away food from there, but I am not dining in again.

We came here for the authentic Cantonese food so we ordered fried dumplings (wo tip)and grilled mix and kailin vegetable dishes. And together with some juices. The juices we wanted, they didn’t have.

After we ordered, the server staff came back to say we don’t have kailin. Offering some cheaper ingredients vegetables for the same price. Then we ordered tofu dishes.

The grilled mix is as authentic as it can get. Dumplings are so so compared to the size of it due to its price. Tofu dish is a big disappointment because it’s is not spicy at all and sorry to say, eating Sichuan dish at a Cantonese restaurant? Need to do it better. As far as service goes, I personally was super disappointed because the place was basically empty at around the opening time in the afternoon and we were two. We came inside and tried to pick a nice table to sit down and before we settled, the staff insisted to make us sitting next to the toilet where people were constantly coming in and out kicking my chairs.

To sum up, food taste ok and food offering is not professional (don’t have this and don’t have that). The service was super bad.

Not sure if I will come here to eat again for the experience I got because I don’t think it’s...

I have been in Lu many times. But yesterday was a schock experience. I came along with a friend & her daughter at almost 14.00 PM. We stod outside together with 2 other guest (a pair) for a while. Then we saw many people inside were ready to go. So we all went in. The temperature outside was so cold, minus degree . The pair got seats directly (I guess they didn't book either). When I asked the female waiter (the tall one), she said : NO we have no seats! She told us to leave. So rude & unfriendly. But we refused & asked people near us because we saw them ready to go. So we took the table directly. While we were waiting for the food, we witnessed that she & her college were friendly with other new guests. And we saw many tables were available. We felt discriminated. Is it because we are asian? We don't know. If we weren't hungry and tired, we wouldn't stay. Really...
