Tourist trap 100% only for enjoying the sun and drinks not for anything else ! Last weekend, two of us went to La Grappa on Lilla Torget to enjoy a drink in the sun. Our first experience was less than welcoming: we were told that we couldn't sit without ordering food, and if we chose to sit without ordering, we'd be moved if diners arrived. The second experience, which was the highlight, involved ordering mussels. When we started eating them, we discovered they were full of sand 🤢. After explaining this to the friendly waitress, she called the "head waiter" who told us they would remove the dish from the bill "so that we would be satisfied." This is not an appropriate form of compensation for customers. During our discussion with her, she said, "Just so you know, mussels come from the sea and the sea has sand." The overall experience was very poor. There was no customer service mentality at all!

My dining experience at the restaurant offered a mixed bag of impressions. On a positive note, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The establishment managed to maintain a pleasant ambiance without becoming too crowded, which I genuinely appreciated. However, I must express my disappointment with the service speed. It was notably slow, and at times, it was challenging to get the attention of the staff to serve our table. Despite the delightful environment, the sluggish service did mar our dining experience to a certain extent. I hope this feedback can be seen as constructive, as I believe there's great potential for an even more enjoyable dining experience with improvements in service attentiveness and efficiency.

A good place to go if you visiting I would say. The Margherita was one of the best ones I had in all the places I gotten that pizza from with nice texture taste and look they even got the perfect cheese that would still have that nice merged look when separated(see pictures below), garlic bread looks strange than the normal types I seen but it tasted great, the cheese plate had some good cheese and some other small stuff, the meat plate had the usual kind of stuff u would expect. Great food in taste and looks. I recommend and will come again when traveling (there's no way for me to say how good the food was in text)

I went to “La Grappa” in central Malmö with five friends. We ordered and paid for 6 gin and tonics at the bar, then sat down at a table to enjoy them. A few minutes later, a waitress brought over a margherita pizza and placed it in the middle of the table without saying a word. Since we hadn’t been given any snacks with our drinks (no peanuts, no chips), we assumed in good faith that the pizza was a kind gesture from the house—something that’s quite common in Italy and many other countries.

At the end of our aperitif, however, we were verbally confronted and accused of eating something we hadn't ordered. We tried to explain the misunderstanding, but we were treated as if we were dishonest. A security guard was even called in to “explain” the Swedish rules to us.

There were six of us—Italians—and the idea that we were trying to steal a margherita pizza is honestly absurd. Of course we paid for it, because we’re honest people. But the way we were treated was rude and completely inappropriate.

One blonde staff member in particular spoke to us in a very arrogant tone, insisting “this is Sweden, not Italy.” Considering the place is called “La Grappa,” maybe they should also learn a bit of Italian hospitality and politeness. I would not recommend this place—there are definitely better spots to have a drink in Malmö.

We went to the place called "La Grappa" in the center of Malmö. After ordering 4 gin and tonics, the waitress brought us a margherita pizza and placed it in the middle of the table without saying anything. Since we hadn’t been given anything to accompany our drinks—no nuts or chips—we mistakenly assumed the pizza was for us, as is common in Italy and many other parts of the world.

The problem arose at the end of the aperitif, when we were confronted and accused of eating something we hadn’t ordered. Even though we tried to explain our reasoning, we were treated like thieves who didn’t want to pay, to the point that security was called to threaten us with following “Swedish rules.”

Imagine 6 Italians trying to “steal” a margherita pizza in Sweden… Of course, we paid for the pizza, as we are honest and responsible people, but the way we were treated does not reflect the kind and welcoming reputation of Swedish people. There are definitely better places to have a drink in Malmö.

In particular, we were mistreated by a blonde staff member, who insisted that "this is Sweden, not Italy," in a very arrogant tone. Since the place has an Italian name, we suggest learning some Italian manners too.
