Horrendous experience! We’ve booked the table for a birthday dinner months in advance. An order has been taken 10-15mins we’ve arrived, which was ok for bigger tables. Then we waited for drinks 25-30 mins. The birthday girl got her food ~20 mins before anyone else. I got my food 30mins after the first dish arrived to the table, it was not what ordered. I asked for pasta and got pizza, when I said this to the waiter, he told me I’m wrong as the dish I asked for is a pizza. When I showed him the menu it turned out they have the exact same name for pasta and the pizza on the menu, as I didn’t want to have pasta, I never even looked at pizzas. After realising he’s at wrong he apologised and offered to replace the dish, I refused as I’ve already waited 30 mins and others had their food eaten. Some drinks ordered still have not arrived over an hour into the “service”. I went over to the bar and ordered some more drinks, and paid the bill. The bill came to over 8000SEK. I’be paid the bill and waited another ~20mins to get the drinks. At this my brother pointed out he didn’t get his beer 1h30mins after it was ordered, the staff didn’t seem bothered at all. Completely disinterested if we wanted anything else or if everything was okay. No manager or supervisor present on the floor either. We wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, on our way out we’ve realised the bill seemed rather high. We went back and asked if the server was sure the price was correct, he immediately responded yes. I was the only one to order bottled water, the receipt shows 12. Then 12 pastas, 17 pizzas etc. We only had 9 people in our party. The waiter then realised a mistake was made, and refunded it. Also apologised, did not offer absolutely anything to make up for this horrible experience and asked if we had a “good time”. Is this a joke?! The bill actually came to 2871 SEK, which they couldn’t print out and I had to take a picture from their cash register. An utter joke....

A Delightful Experience at V

I recently had the pleasure of dining at V in Malmö, and I was truly impressed by their vegan offerings. I ordered the Margarita Vegana, which came with a flavorful herb-infused tomato sauce, creamy vegan mozzarella, marinated cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil. I also added roasted broccoli and garlic-roasted portobello mushrooms, which elevated the dish even further. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, the cheese was some of the best vegan cheese I’ve had, and the seasoning was spot on—fresh and uplifting with a well-balanced use of spices.

The service was equally impressive. Our server was incredibly helpful and professional, going the extra mile to check with the bar and kitchen about our questions. They also shared some exciting news that the menu will soon be updated to include more vegan options or clearer indications of what can be made vegan—something I really appreciate!

The only downside was that, at the time of my visit, there were no vegan wines available.

As for the atmosphere, V nails the cool and trendy vibe. The color scheme is stylish, and small details—like convenient hangers under the tables—add to the thoughtful design. While the sound level was on the higher side, the softness of the interior helped keep it manageable.

Overall, V in Malmö is a fantastic spot for vegan dining, and I’m excited to see how they continue expanding their plant-based offerings. I’ll definitely be back!

Cons: No vegan wine, Loud noise levels, Limited vegan...

Judging from my experience and other reviews, it seems to be very hit or miss. We got the miss on a Monday night service.

I ordered the Pesto Verde pasta. Instead of the dish listed on the menu and seen in other reviews, I received linguine, not fussilione, with baby spinach, olive oil, and cheese. No green beans, no pesto. That said, the pasta was serviceable al dente, the spinach fresh, and the dish acceptable for a hungry diner, though there was something that appeared to be part of a toothpick in it.

Service was poor. One front of house, working from the bar, mostly interested in hanging out with their two friends at the bar. And one expeditor running food to tables. Zero follow up, and more over, unable to get attention.

Couldn’t personally recommend, and yet can see from other reviews that there could be something here. Still, serving a completely changed version of a menu item...
