This was worst restaurant experience ever in my entire life. Well this is apparently regarded as one of recommended sea food restaurant but you cannot enjoy the taste fully thanks to the worst service. The waiter, she all of sudden approached to me and gestured towards me to stand up for her to pass the small space btw another customer and me. I thought that was a bit weird and rude but got up for her although I am here to have a seat comfortably and eat. If things done only this part, I would have not raised a question. However, she approached me again and said to me push your chair to make a path when there is literally no space at all to let any thin people can pass. Let me tell you, you have to educate your waiter whether she can comprehensively think that kind of rude gesture and absurd request is appropriate for the customer who would like to celebrate the day. Second, arrange your tables evenly and educate the waiter again whether that space needs to be secured by your preparation in advance. Third, questioning your waiter again whether she has any gender sensitivity and racial discriminated attitudes. In this case, the waiter should have asked this absurd request not only me but also a male Swedish customer who sat behind of me to push his chair equally as I did not have any a room for dragging my body further...
Read moreJohan P in Malmö was lovely place to kick off the Christmas spirit! My husband and I visited the night before Christmas Eve and had their special Julbord på isat fat. The The seafood spread was delicious and included five types of herring, Janssons temptation, gravlax with egg and löjrom, two lobsters, Smögen shrimp, green mussels, oysters, langoustines, rouille and herb sauce, and more. We finished our meal with Ris à la Malta, which was a delightful festive treat.
We spent around 3,000 SEK, including drinks, and it was definitely worth it. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere felt cozy. However, I’m giving a rating of 4 out of 5 stars because the table we were seated at was too close to the neighboring one, especially near the window, making it feel a bit cramped. Additionally, we had to seek out the staff's attention since they were busily attending to other areas of the restaurant and were not as attentive to our table.
Despite these minor issues, it’s still a wonderful dog-friendly place, and I highly recommend it for a...
Read moreThis was my first visit to sweden for work. At the suggestion of my coworkers, I walked the few km from the hotel to johan p. I was greeted by a friendly host. I ordered the rose fish and some sparkling water and sat outside to enjoy the cool air. Waiter came out promptly with the water and some bread and we talked a bit. Waiter returns with a shrimp salad and swedish caviar on toast dish. I did not order this but it was very kind and very good. Tangent, I was showing my coworker pics of the food when I got back and he stopped me on the shrimp salad and said that he loves that dish and it was a good choice. Ok, back to main post. Rose fish comes out. I've never had rose fish before but was intrigued by the name. Seared rose fish on carrot puree and I believe pork belly on top. It was very good. I was not aware, but if you didn't find something on the menu, they have a fish market inside and will cook you something from there. Loved this place. If work ever sends me to sweden again, or if I'm there for vacation,...
