Fagans — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

To me, this is probably one of the worst establishments in Malmö when it comes to hospitality. I have been there a couple of times, every time the service was appaling. Several years ago we have been refused rugby game on TV because England was playing. No matter that a solid part of my company was from England and we were paying customers. I have no interest in rugby and who was playing, but I know my friends who were visiting me wanted to watch it, and it was just plain awkward when one of the staff just obnoxiously shut down TV as my company started to order their food and drinks. Horrendous experience. Another time we were there eith different company, the waitress was rude and made us feel extremely unwelcome to the point that we didn't even order, just left. The third time we came with another group of people, we ordered food, the waitress removed the plate from under my nose as I was still eating. We tried to get her attention, but she didn't even look back. No apology either. Each time I visited this place, I got this obnoxious vibe from the staff. Been myself a waitress in England, so I know this is not how it's supposed to be done. Every time we're out with friends I just avoid this place...

I've had many wonderful evenings at this place and I always go here when I visit Malmö!

Tonight however, I just arrived in town with my friend and decided to take him here for the first beer of our roadtrip and to show him the wonderful atmosphere that is Fagans. But I was SHOCKED as I didn't even get to say hi to the guard before he told me and my friend to XXX and that he didn't care that it rained and I should dress better.

I was stunned and we decided to turn right around and go somewhere else without having uttered a single word from the moment we arrived.

I recommend that you find another place as well, because with a guard like that I think the golden days of this place are over.

Our visit to this place turned into a truly unpleasant experience. After sitting and having a quiet conversation for some time, we were suddenly and aggressively yelled at by the bar manager—who also happens to be the owner.

What made the situation even more disturbing was that he appeared to be under the influence of cocaine—exhibiting erratic behavior, intense agitation, and repeatedly yelling at us to move without giving any reasonable explanation. It was completely out of line and deeply unprofessional.

We understand that venues have rules about table use, but there are respectful ways to communicate with guests. Being shouted at by someone clearly unfit to manage a hospitality environment is unacceptable. This kind of behavior is not just bad service—it’s a serious red flag.

We will not be returning, and we strongly advise others to think twice before supporting this...
