Review for Sky Horizon - Exceptional Service by Melana

I ate in Terminal 5 close to the Clarion the night before my flight, arriving late after a long day of travel. With limited options, I was thrilled to find Sky Horizon still open. My experience was made exceptional by Melana, the bartender and waitress who single-handedly managed the bar, about 20 tables, and a busy walk-up service line with incredible efficiency and grace.

Melana’s service was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite the influx of guests due to everywhere else was closed, she ensured everyone was attended to promptly, keeping the energy positive and the service line moving quickly. The beer was refreshing, and the food surpassed typical airport fare, offering a satisfying end to my day. What truly stood out was Melana’s ability to handle the crowd virtually alone, delivering a level of service that’s rare to find. Her professionalism and warmth made the experience memorable.

While there was a food runner assisting, he seemed a bit curt, though it didn’t detract from the overall experience as customer interaction wasn’t his primary role. At this point this is the best airport restaurant I've visited. With Swedish relatives, I go through Arlanda Airport (Stockholm) fairly often. I fly way too often, and so suffer meals in many airports. This is one I look forward to. Good wine list (small, but very well chosen), very good food, price more than justified by quality, and friendly, relaxed service.

If you arrive at Arlanda late afternoon, it might make sense to stay at one of the airport hotels, and eat at Sky Horizon, (rather than heading into Stockholm+ or wherever) much more relaxing, and the early Arlanda Express gets you into Stockholm Central Station (Centralen, Stockholm C) very early in...

Without a doubt this restaurant cooks! Fresh prepared food, some traditional Swedish as well, and really nice service. The location also makes it like you're not at the airport even though you overlook the runway and gates (under construction). This restaurant is not your typical airport food factory, but truly a restaurant that would as well be anywhere else outside the airport serving good quality food and service.

The breakfast (Radisson Blu) is equally fantastic, croissants like in France, scrambled eggs NOT coming out of a plastic container.
