BIRD SÖDER — Restaurant in Stockholm

I had reservation for 7 persons at 19:00, my family with couple of guest reached before me exactly at 19:00. They were attended by a lady in few mins. My guests mentioned about the reservation to her which she denied and offered a high chair table… on the other hand surprisingly, I got a cancellation email at 19:06 which I saw next day We have been offered high chairs table despite of the fact that middle 8 chairs tables were available all the time.. which perhaps reserved for us only but cancelled at 19:06 and the lady didn’t offered them the right attitude and welcome..

I was there with my guests, well dressed because it was my anniversary day but unfortunately got the very bad reception.

Even if I refer the policy, according to the policy, I see on web as well that the reservation is hold for more 15 mins but cancellation email was sent at 19:06 without noticing that the guests were there already.

This I didn’t expect from the restaurant like Bird and forced to write my reviews. We came to celebrate with something good but had...

The presentation and atmosphere is very good (see pics), but the food was pretty average and, taste was mediocre and the portions very small compared to the prices (see pics for portions) for example the hot wings were 4 wings for 136:- (approx 12-14€). We ordered 3 meals and asked whether it would be enough for 2 people. They said it would ofc be, but it wasn’t. We were barely full. Therefore we ordered two more meals and dessert. Our Hot wings were raw, bloody and clearly undercooked. The waiter took it away then a waitress looked at it and said their chefs check the internal temperature that she can assure us that bloody chicken is safe to eat but if we want we can have them make another one. The waitress brought our chicken wings back re cooked for longer and said with an attitude “it might be dry now, enjoy”. All in all we had to order 6 items from their many to be satisfied, that’s around 800:- (80€) for 2 people to be full (without drinks - with drinks it’s over 100€/2ppl).

One of my favourite restaurants in Stockholm! Wish you existed in London. I love fried chicken and honestly this restaurant surpassed my expectations. We visited around September 2022 and I'm still dreaming about the meal I had here.

It's a nice sharing plates restaurant in a trendy casual setting, great for date night or a group of friends.

If you love fried chicken and Asian fusion dishes, this restaurant is for you and you have to visit Bird in Stockholm

I really enjoyed their vodka pasta (please can you share the recipe with me - it was perfection), buttermilk fried chicken🍗 and deep fried cauliflower. The loaded sweet potato fries were also perfect 🍠
