❌❌❌❌Racist place. Rude staff.
My friends and I were told that we couldn’t get a table because we sat before ordering, only for another group of a different race to do the same thing and get away with it right in front of us. No instructions or rules about how to order anywhere in sight. The head waiter or whatever her station is, was so blatantly rude and callous in the way she addressed us and handled the situation.
Btw - I actually paid for dumplings. Even with all the bad behaviour. Things kept escalating and we were refused a table of 5 (we were a party of 5 but we were given a table of 3 and expected to make do. The other party that came and sat without ordering were 3 and were allowed to sit on a table of 4 😂). I asked for a refund after that and the lady in question lied that I didn’t pay and refused the refund. This is even funnier because she was the one who processed my payment 🤦🏽♀️. Finally got my money back after showing her the debit from my account.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Mormor Restaurang & Dumpling in Stockholm, and it was hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in the city. Every dish was packed with incredible flavor, and the freshness of the ingredients truly stood out.
We started with the wonton soup, which was perfection—delicate, silky wontons swimming in a rich, aromatic broth. The mapo tofu was a knockout, striking that perfect balance of numbing Sichuan peppercorns and deep umami flavor. And the kung pao? Absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of heat and crunch.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made our meal even more enjoyable. If you love authentic flavors and expertly crafted dumplings, Mormor is a must-visit. We can’t wait to go back!

Read moreThis place is the bee's knees when it comes to Szechuan flavour and authentic dumplings!
The broth of the Szechuan soup sent me to food heaven. Spicy, salty, rich, a taste bud explosion and left my mouth numb. This is what I live for. The soup was filled with delicious pack choi and Chinese cabbage which still had a bite to them. The only thing I would say is that although the beef was satisfying it could have been more tender. A beef mince option would also be welcomed with open arms...
The pork dumplings were nice, the filling was slightly sweet and went well with the pork. Although it's hard to beat a pork and spring onion filling!
The place is small and intimate which I like and was jam packed busy. Don't let this put you off, the wait is certainly worth it.
Next time I'm trying the mapo tofu...
