One of the most underrated Chinese spot in Stockholm. There is a large pan-Asian menu as with most Asian restaurants in Stockholm, but the real hidden gem lies on the handwritten menu(bilingual) that is updated daily

To give context, Chinese cuisine has a clear delineation between restaurant cuisine and home cuisine(家常菜), and in Sweden, most authentic Chinese restaurants serve restaurant style cuisine. Hao Kök is one of the rare places where one can find authentic home cuisine. For the Chinese expats and connoisseurs, it rings a special bell of nostalgia. For the novice, it’s a gentle introduction to homely Chinese food - not too spicy and few exotic animal parts.

Seemed authentic but overall pretty expensive for what we got. We payed around more than 400 SEK for a plate of plain vegetables, a bowl of 'homemade' noodle soup and some dumplings. The vegatables were tasty but very boring as a dish and also way too little variation for that price. I don't really know what was homemade in the noodle soup because the noodles definetly weren't. Probably the broth which was pretty boring. The Dumplings were okay but also pretty boring in taste. Overall it was okayish in taste but definetly not worth the price, we would've gotten more for our money elsewhere. Maybe this restaurant is just not suitable for vegetarian food.
