A small business hotel in the heart of Stockholm with excellent pricing, rooms and staff. Can’t beat the location. It’s not super fancy, but just right when you’re in town for a couple of days. It also has a nice little conference room (see photo of the purple chairs) that I’d definitely have used if I needed it. There seems to be a whole conference center, but I didn’t go near it. I was here to cover the Nobel festivities and was able to walk to the main Grand Hotel that’s the center of the action, also to the Nobel Prize Museum and elsewhere. It was December, but if it weren’t for the ice and rain, I’d have walked even more. I took the train in and switched at the central station and then walked from the nearby metro stop. I’d stay here again.

I stayed here with my husband and 1.5yo toddler for a business trip and we had a lovely time during our stay. We reserved a studio style room to ensure we had extra space for our little one with a cot provided, and given we were there for over a week. The room did not disappoint and was accurate as per their website, it was very spacious, very quiet, clean and in a convenient location. The buffet breakfast is also great with a nice variety of healthy options. We had no issues whatsoever and would definitely return here in future - thank you!

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and it was more than a pleasure! We had the most pleasant check in ever! The young lady had only positive vibes so it was the best experience! Hotel was cozy, room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was great! A lot of choices and also they had a waffle machine where you could prepare yourself your own waffle and it was really tasty with home made cream and forest fruit syrup. Great location, 15 min by foot to the center. All in one, this hotel was a great choice!

Very modern hotel with very solid amenities located centrally in an upscale business area close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, hair salons, design shops, and offices, near public transport to and from Central Station. Situated in Norrmalm, within a canton called [Kvarteret Apotekaren] it’s situated along an unassuming street across from a business center built at the turn-of-the-century. The front desk reception staff is greatly impressive and upon reception greatly aided getting in touch with the airlines due to the delays of baggage not arriving at the airport terminal after arrival. Which was also amazing because of the stressful conditions it created without alternative means of accommodation for medication for the stay, if the baggage was not found, beyond 48 hours. The staff was really top notched! Quite on top of making certain every guest is always taken care of and reassured on any issues emergent or otherwise while at the hotel, and that they are able to help or handle anything in any situation. The hotel also sports on the premises a small gym facility, available for use (free of charge for guests). It is small. But honestly has a fair amount of cardiovascular equipment and weight machines to adequately compensate for one full body workout. Though it lacked cleaner and newer floor mats for stretching and floor exercises. Individually alone, however it’s okay yet it can get crowded very easily. Locally there are swimming facilities nearby but the best choice is Centralbadet. For approximately (675 SEK per visit), this includes working out inside their gym, an expansive sauna and spa floor, plus spa usage (co-ed) and one of finest Beaux-Arts Olympic-sized swimming pool! Amazingly outstanding! In addition to entry into yoga classes, on-site and so forth. Just one of the many venues within walking distance from the Hotel Birger Jarl, or one stop away by underground transit. The Hotel Birger Jarl, is a great getaway for solo travelers, couples, and of course all-families all-around too. Highly recommended for the short or long term stay. A great breakfast buffet is offered every day, open daily every morning. And a restaurant and bar that also serves dinner into the late evening hours too. Definitely worth the visit whenever in Stockholm for the holiday, the weekends, or family vacations spent together with...

Hello! I will tell you my experience in birger jarl. I went with my family of three in one room.

So let’s start with the hotel room. The hotel room was nice if I’m honest, it was nice room with really good cleaning. Before I went to the hotel I was worried it would be warm in the hotel because it was summer. I also were worried about the curtains not be good because in Sweden the sun kind of never goes down so I really didn’t want my curtains to be see-through. First the room was the opposite of warm LOL 😆. Especially for me because I’m sensitive to cold or what you call it 😅. You could definitely choose the room temperature so don’t worry about that. My family didn’t let me change because they were warm😢 guess who woke up feeling like a zombie 🧟. The curtains are fine so don’t worry. No more suuunnnn💋

Okey so one thing I didn’t like about the room was the BATHROOM. I am a skincare girly who likes showering and buying selfvare stuff even tho she don’t have a penny in her pocket. The bathroom were small and it was really difficult to shower! There were no curtains I the shower so all the water went on the floor and there were no thing to fix it. So I had to dry it with towels and toilet paper 🧻😭. And the sink was just so weird like I can’t even explain but it was fine. I’m just a picky little brat tho.

Let’s talk about the damn breakfast. The breakfast was sooo good. There were literally everything you can imagine. Imagine you eating fresh fruits and healthy bread 🥖. Definitely ate 3kg 🥹

The staff were super nice! That’s it!

Anyways but have a good day and yeah I forgot but the wi-fi there sucks to hell. No more gossip with my little friend. 🤪💞☺️☺️

Love y’all and if someone tells you what to do slap them and don’t forgot to but the SL card were you can literally go on boats. I went on boats like 10 times and it fella like I’m bout to be in heaven 💋....

Neighborhood and hotel felt safe. Room has been clean, good wifi. Polite staff. Location around 30min from the national museum. The room was very very cold. I couldn't shower because If I did I would've definitely get sick. Doesn't matter how I set the air conditioner he was just blowing cold air so in the end I gave up and turned it off. It's not 4 star hotel as it pretends to be that's for sure. I left things as they were just because I was staying only for the night and I've been too tired to deal with this after 20h flight, but still that's unacceptable. Also before the trip I saw that my booking reservation dates got mixed up and I have book same but for other month. The reservation was non-refundable because when I was searching to book I was not shown other options. Anyway I requested politely if I can change the dates as I was gonna stay after all at the hotel. No answer. I requested then a free cancelation through booking and I explained everything In a message. No answer for 3 full days. Meanwhile in these days I already booked other room at the hotel and I have stayed. I again explained at the receptionist the problem and if I can seek any help but I was answered that this is not a decision of the hotel but of booking(when I know that booking sends request to the hotel regarding these type of issues and the hotel mares the decisions) . I left with the feeling that she says it on purpose. I wrote next a whole email to the hotel and they finally answered me with of course surprise- undirectly notifying me that they are not going to allow me free cancelation. I know it is my fault but still all of this leaves very bad impression and taste. I've been to many, many hotels in the world. Similar situation happened to be once before in a way more expensive hotel and they tolerate me with...
