I had high expectations when visiting Omnipollos hatt, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
I ordered a pizza that was advertised as an Italian pizza with salami, rocket, lemon, and cherry tomatoes. I specifically asked for no cherry tomatoes, but the pizza arrived with them anyway. This was already frustrating, but what followed made things worse. The tomato sauce tasted like a generic canned sauce that hadn’t been properly cooked, and it completely overpowered the rest of the pizza. Instead of fresh rocket, the topping was just a mixed supermarket-style salad placed on top, which really did not match the description or the quality I expected.
I also ordered crisps, thinking they were going to be freshly fried with parmesan, but it turned out to be a small portion of supermarket crisps with a sprinkle of parmesan on top — and I was charged 65sek for this. For such a tiny and unimpressive portion, this felt very disappointing and overpriced.
Finally, when I was asked about the food, I answered honestly that I wasn’t satisfied. The waitress responded by saying, “perhaps you can try something else,” as she walked away. I found this quite dismissive rather than a genuine attempt to address my concerns.
Overall, the food quality was poor, the descriptions misleading, and the service unhelpful. For the price and the way the dishes are presented, I expected much better. Sadly, I cannot recommend Omnipollos based on...
Read moreWe met up here in a Tuesday evening with some friends. Great atmosphere lots of young people meeting up for dinner and drinks after work. It's very busy and was difficult to find a spot for even three people to find seating.
They are a microbrewery that brews their own American style beers. The beers are cycling and written on a chalkboard on the wall. I wished they had some more information on the different beers and the servers did not seem informed or they had the time for them.
They poured the beers in classic Czech style off the tap which I found surprising and off putting for a brewery that sells American style beers. Although some bartenders were holding flat glasses directly up to the tap and pouring beer directly in, which is a bacterial issue and the glass should never touch the tap. It's also just an unusual and less efficient way to pour beers for volume.
I've worked in specialty beer bars and breweries for many years and felt this was more of a bar with some beers than an experience of a beer bar. Beers were fine, IPAs a little more skunky than I'd prefer. They seemed to have some issues changing...
Read moretl;dr: Omnipollo's Hatt has great beers on tap and really good pizza. Definitely try out the Bianca, a delicious beer topped with slushified goodness!
Omnipollo's Hatt is a great little bar that very much represents their brand and brews, where you can get some of their best beers straight from the tap, as well as some pretty solid pizza.
I had the #5 with dried beef and kimchi, which was a very different, but very welcome pizza! It was cooked really well, and had just the right crust a proper pizza should have.
If you're familiar with their brews you know what you're gonna get, but that is not a bad thing, since Omnipollo makes great, tasty beers.
The highlight of the evening was for sure the 'Bianca', a "blueberry maple pancake lassi gose". A mouthful, for sure, but so was the flavor! The beer is topped with a slushified version of itself, which lends to a very unique serving that oozes personality. Would...
