We came there around 8.30/9 pm and wanted to order Banh Mi for take away. But they ran out of Banh Mi (only the one with Tofu was available). So we decided to eat something else instead and sat down outside. The service guy came and cleaned our table but he didnt talked to us at all. After waiting for a while we realised that this is a "self-service" restaurant where you have to order at the counter. The waiter could've told us while he was cleaning the table as there was no information about ordering inside...in general he didnt seem to enjoy working there.
Food was good tho. But didn't really understand why they ran out of the regular Banh mi as the ingredients (e.g. Pork Belly) were the same we had in our ordered food.
Oh another service Fauxpas: the outside seatings were emptying later and so the service staff started to tidy up and clean up the tables. Which is fine. But then she started to use a cleaning spray to clean the table NEXT to us. BUT we were still eating and the fume of the cleaning spray came over which is obviously not really a good experience while you are eating. If she had a closer look at our dining table she could have waited for 5 more minutes before using the spray.
Other than that we would come back...

Taste wise: 🔸️6. Banh hoi thit heo quay / Risnudlar med krispigt rostad fläsksida (Rice noodles with crispy roasted pork) 👍👍👍👍👍
Generous portions of crispy pork belly. Great flavours, nice cut with a mix of lean meat, fats and cripsy crackling, just the way it should be. The dish came with rice noodles, salad and a sweet/sour fish sauce dip.
I'd be happy just eating the crispy pork belly alone.
🔸️11. Ca ri ga Saigon/ Gulcurry på sydvietnamesiskt vis med ris & baguette, Tofu (V) (Yellow tofu curry with rice and baguette) 👍👍👍
Non spicy vegan dish of curry tofu, bamboo shoots, potatoes and carrots with rice and a plump soft baguette. The coconut milk curry was smooth but the dish was too sweet for me. I enjoyed the tofu, carrots and potatoes. The bamboo shoots were crunchy but I didn't like the slightly pungent...

One dish that's particularly worth trying is the bowl of spring rolls with rice noodles. The spring rolls are packed with flavor and fresh ingredients, and the rich noodles provide the perfect complement to the dish.
In my case, the bowl was so heavy that I had to ask the staff to pack the remaining portion to take away. They happily provided me with a box and bag to carry my leftovers, which was a nice touch.
Overall, I highly recommend Eatnam Slussen for anyone who enjoys Vietnamese cuisine. The food is high-quality and authentic, and the service is attentive and friendly. Just make sure to come hungry or be prepared to take home...
