Cantina e9 — Restaurant in Basel

One of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant I've ever eaten at!!!! We were visiting Basel and it was recommended to us by a very nice lady on the street. We entered and were immediately welcomed very well, there was an initial language problem but after a man came who spoke English this was resolved. I found the staff impeccable, very friendly and attentive. I also loved the fact that everyone who works there has some level of disability, which makes the place even more special! Regarding the food, it was really good, and the atmosphere was really welcoming! In conclusion, if you are ever in Basel you have to come and eat at the Cantina!!! 5⭐ LOVED...

My first time eating at E9 Cantina was great. The staff was lovely and happy to answer any questions about the menu. I tried the „Wochenhit“ (a weekly special): baked feta with tomatoes and potatoes. It was delicious, and we didn’t have to wait long for the food. Each dish comes with a free glass of water and, if you like, a side salad or soup - for the Wochenhit it‘s an extra 2 francs, but with the daily special it‘s included.

We were a group of six and found a table right away - the place is suitable for any group size. Advanced reservation is recommended, though!

Die Location etwas bemüht modern ok wers mag soll ja wenn auf jugendlich getrimmt dann bitte durchgehend aber nein ich bin Vegan ungern Vegetarier was ich eine absolute Lebensmittelverschwendung finde alle 5 Menues waren an der Bar auf Teller vorgerichtet zum ausstellen. Was für ein Foodwaste. Fleisch Fleisch Fleisch dann Blumenkohl mit Reis und Parmesansauce oder TomatenMozzarella Salat mit Rührei Igitt was sind das für fantasielose Verbrechen will mich jemand da bestrafen weil ich schaue was ich esse? Als ich dann noch nach Kaffee mit Hafermilch fragte wurde mir von einer deutlich verblühten Rose der Gastfreundlichkeit kühl und schnippisch mitgeteilt ich solle doch mir ein Veganes Restaurant suchen. Ich war mit einem Kollegen da und hab halt dann ein Wasser getrunken und mich geärgert der ältere Herr der Wohl den Chef de Service darstellen sollte war nicht interessiert sich einzubringen ich böser Veganer was bilde ich mir da ein Hafermilch zum Cafie und ein fantasieloses Vegetarier Menue nicht will. Die Leute die den Blumenkohl gegessen haben waren nicht Happy. Aber was mich echt geärgert hat das ausstellen der Teller was für ein...
