WOW! I haven't had a great tuna steak in a while and the food on the menu was absolutely awesome! And, the service exceeded the food to make the overall dining experience A+++++!! Do yourself a favor and stop in at Aroma Restaurant and enjoy the service of the Host Mr. Ercan Keser. As a customer he makes you feel as though your his special guest and that he has known you for years! We happened to stop in after searching google for the best restaurants in Basel. So, glad we went.....in fact I was so pleased that I went back the next day for lunch and received the same excellent treatment! In fact, it was better, as he made me feel like a regular even remembering my name and what I liked!!! We finally found a 5 star restaurant in Basel that blew us away albeit at a cost. It was our last night in the city and we were getting worried we would not find something to stand out but Aroma stepped up and knocked it out of the park for us. The food is properly authentic and absolutely delicious. The guanciale in the carbonara for example was so well prepared that it was crunchy on the first bite and then immediately melts in your mouth with an explosion of porky delight. We have been to restaurants in Rome itself with worse food that we had here so we can't recommend it enough. Special thanks to Stefania who was an excellent host and made the evening even...

The Trattoria Aroma is a fantastic gem in Basel. Its located in the heart of base, in a small alley. Don't let you fool by the entrance, as its a small door that does not reflect what you will find inside. Inside, you will find an authentic high class Italian restaurant, with a small yet wonderful menu of hand made fresh dishes. As starter we had pasta and fried calamari, followed by a wonderful tagliata and a fileto di manzo. The Amarone was wonderful and the house made tiramisu was the perfect ending to a perfect dinner. We finally found a 5 star restaurant in Basel that blew us away albeit at a cost. It was our last night in the city and we were getting worried we would not find something to stand out but Aroma stepped up and knocked it out of the park for us. The food is properly authentic and absolutely delicious. The guanciale in the carbonara for example was so well prepared that it was crunchy on the first bite and then immediately melts in your mouth with an explosion of porky delight. We have been to restaurants in Rome itself with worse food that we had here so we can't recommend it enough. Special thanks to Stefania who was an excellent host and made the evening even more memorable.

Weihnachtsessen vom 16.12.2022 (Freitag) um 19Uhr: Sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Gut besucht. Reservation sehr empfehlenswert. Übersichtliche Speisekarte. Gehobenes Preisniveau. Gewählte Speisen in ausgezeichneter Qualität und sehr schmackhaft. Portionen ausreichend. Teigwaren wirklich bissfest al dente. Speisen allesamt eher dezent gewürzt. Auch halbe Portionen möglich. Tiramisu als Nachspeise war endlich mal wieder ein Tiramisu mit echtem Mascarpone. Sehr leckeren Sizilianischen Wein zum Hauptgang genossen. Nach dem Dessert noch Espresso, Grappa und Limoncello genossen. Alles ebenso ausgezeichnet. Besonders empfehlenswert: äusserst mundender Limoncello im eisgekühlten Glässchen. Besonders erwähnenswert auch das äusserst aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Personal.

Mi trovavo di passaggio e non avevo mai notato questo delizioso locale dagli interni ben curati, ma soprattutto da un personale assolutamente cordiale, preparato e professionale. Ottima selezione di vini, nella mia indecisione il direttore di sala mi ha saputo consigliare alla perfezione l'abbinamento per le pietanze che avevo scelto. Delizioso il carpaccio di tonno con cetrioli veramente di ottima qualità e anche una bella presentazione! Come secondo ho preso una zuppa di pesce con crostini di pane buonissima!! Ed infine per concludere in bellezza un sorbetto di fragole cocco e malibu con fragole fresche. Nel complesso un ottima qualità fanno dei piatti piu semplici i migliori. Grazie mille per la sosta non prevista tornerò sicuramente!

Mi trovavo di passaggio e non avevo mai notato questo delizioso locale dagli interni ben curati, ma soprattutto da un personale assolutamente cordiale, preparato e professionale. Ottima selezione di vini, nella mia indecisione il direttore di sala mi ha saputo consigliare alla perfezione l'abbinamento per le pietanze che avevo scelto. Delizioso il carpaccio di tonno con cetrioli veramente di ottima qualità e anche una bella presentazione! Come secondo ho preso una zuppa di pesce con crostini di pane buonissima!!
