Here for a one year anniversary. Excellent room and bathroom design with great attention to detail. Equipped with bidet, big fluffy pillows, nice mattress, free mini bar, goose neck electric kettle, coffee pod machine, good teas, and more. The glass shower with overhead rain head was really nice. Usb plug ins for charging was really helpful. The room comes with a city card. The WiFi works well. Staff were very friendly. Arrived on Saturday night and the street was very lively and full of good looking restaurants. The breakfast was nice and had really good fresh baked bread and yummy cheese selections. It was basic in terms of variety but had healthy selections and was very pleasant. There were a lot of little sparrows and pigeons outside which provided some entertainment. The only issues I found were that the bidet controls were greasy and the bass from the rooftop bars were a little loud. Both easy fixes. I will definitely come back if I visit Basel again.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short distance from both the airport and Basel’s Old Town, making it ideal for a short stay. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms were top-notch, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my visit. One of the standout features was the hotel's proximity to everything. It made exploring the city so easy and stress-free. An added bonus was receiving the Basel Card, which gave free access to public transport and discounts on attractions such as museums and the zoo, a fantastic perk that added real value to the stay. I also really appreciated the high-quality coffee machine in the lobby, a small touch that made a big difference! Overall, this hotel is a perfect choice if you're visiting Basel and want to be close to both the airport and the city's main attractions. I look forward to staying there again one day. Highly recommended.

We had an enjoyable stay at Art House Basel. The hotel staff were wonderful, accommodating our late check-in with ease and providing helpful service throughout our visit. The decor was stylish and modern, and we especially appreciated the cozy wool throw blanket and overall aesthetic touches in the room. While the bedding was comfortable, the mattress felt a bit thin and could use an upgrade for optimal comfort. The shower was fantastic, and we loved spending time on the terrace, which was a great spot to unwind. The rooftop had a vibrant atmosphere in the evening and was equally lovely for breakfast in the morning. The location is convenient for exploring Basel, though arriving by car can be a bit tricky. Be prepared to park in a nearby garage and walk a short distance to the hotel. Overall, a great boutique experience with a few minor improvements needed.

We stayed two nights at Art House Hotel in Basel and we definitely don’t think it lived up to our expectations.||After our stay we find it very easy to understand why there are earplugs in the room. The hotel does not disclose that the location is right in the middle of a street filled with bars that play very loud music all night long.||Luckily, most of the noise can be kept out by keeping the windows and doors closed. Unfortunately, we had to keep the balcony door open at night, as the room’s air conditioning wasn’t working and it was very hot. We tried calling the reception, who were not very helpful, and we had to insist several times for someone to come up and check if we were doing something wrong. ||When the receptionist finally came to the room, he tried to convince us that there was a little bit of air coming out, and we felt that he was more focused on downplaying the fact that the room was very hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. Instead, we were given a fan to try to keep the temperature down.||We asked if we could change rooms, but this wasn’t possible as the hotel was fully booked. The receptionist told us he would make sure we could switch rooms for the second night. However, we never heard anything further and had to stay in the same room without air conditioning.||You also need to be careful when ordering room service and double-check that the food will be delivered. There’s a form you can fill out the night before and hang on the door, of you want breakfast delivered to the room. You select the time you want the food to be delievered. This was a good solution for us, as we didn’t have time to go out in the morning due to an early flight. ||When we got up, the form was still hanging on the door. We called the reception when the food didn’t arrive at the requested time. As a result, we didn’t get breakfast until later, which made our checkout more stressful. ||One evening, we also wanted help finding a good restaurant while we were out in the city. We called the hotel to ask for a recommendation. He said he would look into some places and get back to us. We never heard from him again.||The room itself was in good condition, but we find it problematic that the very high noise level is not mentioned anywhere. On top of that, the service was...

. Nicht durchdacht! |Jammern auf hohem Niveau
 könnte man meinen

The hotel is well located for those arriving by car, Parkhaus Steinen garage is just a few meters away. You will be in the city center, which includes shopping malls and restaurants. If you wish to avoid noise of the street until the late night, that location may not be the best for you. Breakfasts were excellent, offering a wide variety of foods ranging from healthy ones, such as Swiss homemade yoghurts, muesli and good cow milk, to selection of delicate cheeses (goat, cow and sheep), and also a great selection of fresh breads, etc. My wife loved scrambled eggs, she said they were exceptionally well made. Apple baskets filled with fruits were found on every floor, so there's hardly something you will be missing for your healthy diet. You will receive the Basel Card which will enable to roam freely over the city, using all bus and tram lines in Basel for free. When we stayed in the hotel, a major reconstruction was under way of another building just across the street from our hotel, and the noise often started at 7 am. However, insulation of the windows was quite sufficient to block most of the noise from the busy street during late nights. On the other hand, the towels were being replaced every day, minibar was for free, and anything you needed could be asked for using WhatsApp. So, I give thumbs up for our overall...
