They tried hard to accommodate my very elderly dinner mate (I had alerted them in advance of her mobility and hearing issues), but the table they chose for us was inaccessible for her with me guiding her. So we ended up being seated next to a large party, which I had explicitly asked to avoid. Next time I will simply ask to be seated close to the entrance and at a quiet table, instead of listing the impairments and expecting the restaurant to accommodate them. I put it short - before visiting this place I used to say there were 1.5 good restaurants in Bern. Since the first visit I say - there are 2.5 good restaurants in Bern. I had heard positive bout this place from my different neighbours (this is our 'quartierrestaurant' i.e. in our neighbourhood) but thought - aah, they just praise the local place for being local. Absolutely 💯 👍🏽 for the food and atmosphere! Meret Egli was incredibly attentive; in fact, she let us in 10 minutes before the opening hours, which greatly helped calm the kids after a long day at the Seilpark. We were there as a group for my office outing with 12 adults and 7 kids. The only hiccup was the time it took to serve the food. It took over an hour to serve the starter salad, which made the kids very impatient. I would rate the service 3* due to this delay. We will definitely return, but please keep a close eye on...
