ALERT: Indian food is expensive in whole of Switzerland!
We went for our dinner here and ordered dal, lassi and mixed vegetable pakora. Initial service was good as seating was quick and items too came quick! We expected dal to be of toor dal but Anish clarified upfront that it’s Chana dal. It was priced 21 CHF but came up with a pot of rice good enough for 2 people. Lassi was tasty and size was fairly ok for 7.5 CHF. Pakora has just 6 pieces and came for 7.5 CHF. We finished eating and trying to get out quick as we had a train to catch. The tagline of the restaurant says it’s close to the train station and we believed and went for our dinner there. But the final act by rude and impatient Anish struck a blow to our plan of reaching on time the station and boarding our train. We missed our train, jeopardizing completely all our plan for the evening.
There were just 3 more customers excluding us and in bringing our bill took about 25 minutes. When we asked him in all empathy that he had to manage everything and we too need to go as we are in a hurry. Then, as if all hell broke loose, he blurted out nastily that every one is in a hurry, he is in a hurry etc. It was totally unexpected and very very rude of him to say this to us. We felt very miserable and left the place after paying. He seemed to be the owner of the place. If not he needs lot of coaching bashing by his bosses. We felt like giving the place minus 5 stars because of his low and mean behaviour at the final moment but least we could is only 1 star. Customers shall please be aware of his nature and avoid this place,...
Read moreI have been in Bern for sometime now. The runner here , in white shirt, who says he's from Goa(got to know through previous interaction) , has apparently some behavioural issues which I have been noticing but in passing references. But this time when he poked unnecessarily(again one of those passing references) on the mode of payment , I confronted him in full and told him we can call the police to settle the matter. He came to the table with wallet and card machine, so I took out the card , but instead of processing he kept on asking cash or card / cash or card. I got furious this time and could sense his cheap mentality of unnecessarily poking people. So to the owners , please look into the sevices. He started throwing the tantrums of having been in Bern for more time than me. I mean what kind of behaviour is this. I believed he had to be confronted this time especially with his behaviour with people from India which I have noticed from time to time. But food is...
