Place to avoid for foreigners! Cheap food and deceitful stuff. Better option is McDonald's!
We felt cheated on many ways during our dinner although waitress was a good Spanish speaker so no problems with language.
We asked for a table outside and they told us that all were booked. During our staying just one of the multiple tables was occupied by a German speaker without booking (I do not speak German but I understand quite a bit).
As water is wonderful in Switzerland, we decided to ordered tap water, they say they did not have it they gave us Tap water in a bottle with the name of the restaurant and charge 10 francs for it. That would be their right if they were not serving Tap water without charge to other tables as you can see in the photos. It was harmful and disrespectful.
If all these reasons were not enough, another statement is that food felt cheap and worst in big brands as McDonald’s or Subway. Way better to invest your money on that food, more likeable and way cheaper.
We spend 10 francs on rubbish. Please, stay away from this place.
I uploaded three photos: Table close to us with free Tap water. Our Table with tap water with 10 francs cost (foreign tax; please get the irony of the moment) Empty tables during 1 and half...
Read moreFirst things first, incredibly pricey place averaging $32CHF or so for an entree.
Ordered a $15 fish soup as an appetizer – things were looking up and I thought it was fantastically worth the money (relative to other entrees are the higher price-points) until I got to the fish fillets on the bottom. What started as a little jab in my mouth turned into three bones that I proceeded to pick out. Thinking it must be a one-off scenario, I kept eating the remaining fillets. By the end of my second fillet I had picked out some 8 bones and counting. Would have really appreciated (at the very least) a heads up that fillets of fish, especially in a soup, would have bones in it (and so much as well).
This review is a 2-star because my waiter was kind enough to have the kitchen remake the dish "without bones" – which they delivered on. However, the fish in the soup the second time around were of the same size and appearance as the fish the first time around. Makes you wonder how the first soup could have so so many bones in it if not for complete negligence in...
Read moreWe came here after searching for a place to raclette in early August. After searching far and wide for those cheesy taters we finally found this heaven of cheese. After some weird looks by the waiters and a small kerfuffle with the electrical outlets to get the raclette working, we were ready. As they brought out the massive block of cheese, taters, pickles, apples and small unions we even more ready.
As we slowly but surely melted the big block of cheese that was laid before us our stomachs rumbled. As we took our first pull of cheese and laid it upon the taters we knew, we were in heaven.
Pull after pull of cheese the block got smaller and our stomachs more full. Nearing the end as the metal spikes that were holding the cheese greeted us, telling us we were done and we agreed.
All in all, amazing raclette, amazing staff,
10/10 would eat big molten ball of cheese again.
Big...
