We ate at Ristorante Fiorentina last year, & having had a lovely experience were keen to return. We booked a table in advance. Unfortunately this year's experience was very poor indeed.
We arrived at our booked time (8pm) and although seen and acknowledged by the waiter with whom we'd made the booking, were left standing in the restaurant foyer for 10 minutes whilst the waiters bustled about and ignored us. Finally we were remembered and seated. And instantly forgotten once again. Waiters bustled about us for a further 20 minutes without offering us so much as a glass of water.
Finally a waiter approached and we readied ourselves to order. But no! He came to fairly ungraciously require that we give up our table and move to a corner table so they could accommodate a larger party.
We dutifully took ourselves (+ menus) to the new table, narrowly avoiding the abandoned dog bowl of water next to one of the chairs - the closest we got to refreshment all night.

The interior is sophisticated and relaxed with an arched ceiling. In addition to the lovely main dining area, there are two separate rooms for private functions and courtyard seating for sunny days. Service was friendly and attentive. I started with the green salad - crisp and lightly dressed with premium olive oil and fresh herbs - and my husband had the bruschetta di polenta croccante al pomodoro e basilico -a must!! The homemade pasta dishes were substantial and cooked perfectly. Great wine selection and excellent tiramisu....
