I give 2 stars because of the quality of the food. However, the service is below average. We were given the menu in Italian. The waitress later asked if we want an English menu. We said Yes. Then, she brought another two Italian menu. I told her it’s still Italian. She changed again, then one of it still in Italian. I asked her can you please check first? She said ok. She then first placed the menu in front of me then check to make sure it is in English....... !

Owner/Waiter Alex Moscatelli, Chef Davide, and Waitress Elsa made my first dinner in Lugano quite memorable. Alex greeting me upon entry, ushering me to my seat, lighting the candle on my table, checking in on me every now and then until the end of my meal making sure I have everything to my liking; Elsa offering me a lovely rosé to start and switching the flower on my table for a more fragrant one; Chef Davide preparing me a perfectly cooked foie gras and a very tender 12-hour slow cooked ossobuco with risotto alla milanese... that wraps my perfect first night in Lugano,...

Honestly a bit disappointed with this place. Based on the reviews, was ready for an awesome meal. Was not bad, but on the beef tartare, can not top it with sautéed vegetables, the texture is off and it lacked depth and flavor with water content.. no seasoning or condiment to contrast.
