Vitti Restaurant in Lugano was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, right in a charming part of the city, and the ambience inside is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxed yet elegant meal.
The staff truly went above and beyond. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable the entire time. At one point, we needed to charge our phones, and without hesitation, the staff kindly offered to charge both of them while we enjoyed our dining experience—such thoughtful service really stood out.
The food was exceptional. We had the lamb chops, a pizza, and the tiramisu, and each dish was absolutely delicious. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and flavorful, the pizza was fresh and satisfying, and the tiramisu was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. The wine selection complemented the menu beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Overall, Vitti Restaurant is a gem in Lugano. Between the amazing food, excellent wine, warm and attentive service, and lovely atmosphere, it’s a place I would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone...
Read moreAt the end of June, three of us had an aperitif at the Vitti restaurant. According to the employee behind the counter, our credit card payment failed. My sister-in-law then paid the same bill with her credit card. Annoyingly, the first payment was also charged to our credit card, so we ended up paying 60 CHF (!) twice. Every attempt to contact the restaurant a few days later (even in Italian) was completely ignored. Incidentally, the WhatsApp number in the screenshot is listed on Vitti's website, and it's a company account. This is a very brazen and rude behavior, which doesn't speak well for the restaurant's professionalism. We now have to go through the hassle of claiming the money via Mastercard, even though the fault wasn't ours, but rather the fault of Vitti's. Read moreI'll start with what's good and that's the atmosphere. The bar looks great inside and out. Unfortunately, the staff is slow and unfriendly, and the drinks are bad. Given the steep prices, this is unacceptable. To be specific, upon being greeted normally, we were seated inside and had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come take orders. And during this time were not even shown a menu. The orders took forever to arrive (3 chilled coffees and an espresso), and the espresso arrived cold. Upon asking for the espresso to be remade, the waiter showed disappointment and another customer, friends with the waiter, made fun of us without the waiter saying a word.
