The Hamburger Foundation - Pâquis — Restaurant in Geneva

What happened?! I have been ordering delicious, well-proportioned burgers from the THF for 7 years. I was convinced it was the best burger in Geneva, no contest. I dont know what happened today....perhaps it's the summer staff, not yet properly trained, or else they changed the recipe for the worse. The ratio of toppings to meat was completely off, and rather than chopping the lettuce/tomato/onion very finely and adding sufficient quantity to balance the 2 beef paties, the product today had a single soggy leaf of lettuce, 2 half slices of pale watery tomato, slapped with evident carelessness on a bun. Upon opening the wrapper, the burger had a distinctly sloppy appearance, but that is not the problem. The construction of the burger was shoddy, the components suspect. And i must say very clearly- that sorry excuse for a burger tasted like contempt. I hope this is a one-off, a ghastly deviation. I will certainly return to find out, just not...

By far the best fries I’ve had everrrr! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, this is how it is supposed to be. I believe they have selected the perfect potatoes to make perfect fries.

As for the hamburger, it’s addictive! It’s juicy, super tasty and extremely satisfying (finally a real hamburger).

Straight to the point concept, you can either have a standard hamburger, a cheese hamburger or bacon cheese. The meat is super tasty (you can order with one two or three meat burgers inside), added with some crunchy greens, mustard and ketchup, and with, what I believe is, a secret little recipee added to the whole for it to be the best hamburger in town!

What tops it all, it’s even better take away. It will stay hot thanks to a well thought of packaging and the juice will blend in for the just the right amount of time before the hamburger is devoured.

I had noticed this place having many good reviews and decided to visit for dinner during one of my work trips. When I reached the restaurant before going in, I thought a bit whether I wanted indeed to go in or not. The place does not make you want to go in as it is nor fancy or seems appealing to be honest. It has this old American restaurant vibe though much less appealing and really simple decorated inside. The menu obviously only contains burgers. Once I had my burger and tasted it, all previous concerns went away. This is a really tasty burger and I definitely did not regret going in. I wouldn’t mind a few options for starter courses though which seemed really poor on the menu. It is worth a visit if you want a tasty burger on a very good price considering the prices in Geneva but be prepared that you are visiting only for the good burger, which at the end of the day that’s what...
