I have a nice story for you. My family and I, from Costa Rica, went to Gruyères for the first time and we chose the Brasserie du Relais as the place to have dinner. The cuisine of the place is wonderful, I tell it trying to be objective and with the background of having eaten in nice restaurants of Barcelona and France the last week. Mr. Luis really knows how to cook. But my comment goes beyond the cooking. We weren't aware of the fact that the last train/bus leaves Gruyères at 8 pm and we finished our dinner at 10 pm (yes we took our time). With no trains/buses until the next day we had no other option than to walk 12 Km in the middle of the night to get to our B&B, but when I went to ask if it was safe to walk at night in the surroundings Mr. Luis left the restaurant in someone else's hands, took his car and drove 30 minutes to drop us at the door of our B&B. I was so amazed by how this man went the extra mile to give us a wonderful touristic experience in Gruyères. If you want to be served by kind and selfless peojple do not hesitate on paying a visit to this place.
