I came to this restaurant hoping to try some fondue. I walked in and asked if they spoke English and they said, in English, no I speak French. I asked if they have a menu and they said they just have fondue. I said okay I can do that, and then he simply replies “no”. I said ok thanks and left. It was a very strange and awkward experience, they were clearly open, the man could understand what I was saying and was clearly speaking English, I can see no reason why this happened. it was probably too expensive anyways just for you to eat melted cheese and bread, so I’m actually glad I didnt eat here. Read moreThis was the one and only really unpleasant experience we had in Switzerland. This place is super dodgy, with a rude manager who tried to push us away when he heard we speak English. Despite that, the waitress found us seats outside. When we ordered lunch for 4 people (costing north of 120 CFH) we were told we also must order something to drink otherwise they won't serve us. When we said we don't want drinks the waitress explained the manager won't allow her to serve us. At that point we had enough and simply left to go to another restaurant. Save your day and skip this place, it doesn't really deserve...

We were out on Sunday afternoon in Gruyère with the family and suggested to sit down for a coffee at the terrace of this restaurant where there were 4+ free tables. The manager said all tables are for fondu only. I pointed at a table with empty coffee cups. He said it was part of the earlier luncheon.
