I am writing this review seeing the poor response Vieil d’Ouchy have given to Sylvia de Serdio’s review.
I never thought about writing this review because honestly, the food in this place is amazing, and maybe the service that day wasn’t the best one, and therefore, didn’t want to make a generalization of the restaurant. But honestly, seeing the poor response they have done to that review you just can see how bad the service is here and how narcissistic you have to be to not only not accept an error, but to accuse of lying with something like that.
So, said that, if a customer don’t like the wine, move on. Be professional about it and be polite. The customer has ALL the right to change the wine, its just a personal taste, not a scheme against your restaurant. Also, we asked in the most polite way and the personal just took it bad and personal, like a 5 year old child. The rest of the night the server behavior was careless, mean and ….
Moving on with the night, we had a conversation with the table beside, which by the way the topic was how they made an error to go there for their 10th anniversary.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the incident with the napkin happened. Honestly it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life. And instead of making a scene or being bad mannered, we communicate the issue in private with the server straight away.
Not being able to understand that everybody can make an error is your problem, and its just childish the way you have handled. But its incredible that you twist the situation putting Sylvia (and I know for sure you will put me as one too in your response) as liars or bad...
Read moreThe food is the only reason my review has two stars instead of just one. My forensic and I went to have fondue and I must say that it is good indeed. Firstly we asked for a couple of glasses of white wine, they didn’t let us try and the wine was just simply bad. When we asked if it would be possible to get a different one they were super rude about it and brought us two fully served glasses and left without saying anything. Btw, this wine was also not the best but at least not bad like the first one. The tables next to us were also complaining about the rudeness of the two waiters that took care of the upstairs of the place, but the worst thing was that my friend went to use her napkins at the end of her meal (thank god it was the end of the meal and not the start because it completely killed any appetite we had for a dessert) and found the napkin had been previously used and had a booger inside. When we said something they just gave us another napkin with a quick sorry. When we went to pay and told the guy he just said that was impossible and didn’t even apologise. They also hadn’t served us the two portions of potatoes we asked for… basically, there are way better places to eat fondue at...
