Modomio — Restaurant in Lucerne

Let me start by stating the food was fabulous! However, the service was nothing like what is described in other reviews. When we arrived around 7:30, the waiter offered us a table for 2, on the back wall of a dining room with only one other party and many empty window tables. I asked if we could sit at a window table. The waiter stated those tables were for parties of 4 yet after a few moments he agreed to seat us at the window table. He then had us wait over 10 minutes before returning to take our dinner order. No offer of drinks. We ordered. He seemed put off that my wife did not want any wine as she does drink alcohol. Bread was brought out but no bread plates or olive oil. I asked and he brought olive oil & balsamic but no plates. Our salads were delivered and that was the last time we saw our waiter. Dinner was brought by another person. Our waiter checked on the other tables in the room multiple times but never came back to our table until we had finished eating. Our hotel recommended this restaurant for pizza.We were very disappointed by both the service and food. We had wanted to share a.pizza as we were not overly hungry but the waiter insisted we order 2 items.He suggested we order a side salad as well which we did.We ordered a green salad. I asked for a coke.zero,was given a regular coke. On arrival I received a mixed salad with red beans,corn,beetroot and other salad leaves.The pizza my Husband was given had artichokes on,again not what he had ordered. We ate here one night when we were staying at the hotel next door. The food was very good but the service left much to be desired. After we were sat, we waited almost 20 minutes to give our drink order, and the restaurant was far from full at this time. The pizza and carpaccio were very good! My husband finished his drink while we were still eating and we had to ask multiple times for a refill. After we finished our meal and drinks, we spent another 20+ minutes trying to flag down one of the 3 waiters to give us our bill. We felt trapped in this restaurant with not even any water while we waited so long to pay and leave. Our servers were never friendly through this entire experience.
