We were looking forward to visiting this tea house since it was close to our hotel and had great online reviews. The posted opening time was 9 AM, but when we arrived, the owner told us she actually opens at 11. No problem—we came back later. When we returned, we just wanted to order tea. However, the owner said that if we wanted to sit in the main seating area, we also had to order food. She offered us a table in the front instead, which we accepted. Unfortunately, for a tea house, the tea itself was disappointing—overly sweet, and one of the teas seemed like it came from a pre-made plastic bottle rather than being freshly prepared. While we were sitting, another family came in and also just wanted tea. The owner told us to move so they could sit, even though we had a small child who was already settled. In the end, that family decided to stay and order food, so we didn’t have to move. The tea was served in round glasses without napkins, and when our daughter accidentally knocked over a glass (due to its unstable design), the owner loudly told us to get up. She was also openly rude to her staff. I understand cultural differences and have traveled extensively, including throughout Asia, but this was simply an uncomfortable experience. If you have children—even well-behaved ones—I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the tea was not worth the visit.

I recently stumbled upon this awesome Chinese food place called Yun Nan Tea House in Lucerne, and man, let me tell you, it was a total flavor explosion! The moment I walked in, the whole place was filled with these amazing aromas of spices and herbs that got me drooling right away. The place is pretty small and cozy, giving off those chill vibes. It was also decorated beautifully with various chinese artworks and teapots. But what really made the experience special was the super friendly and welcoming service. The staff was top-notch, always there with a smile, and they knew their stuff when it came to the menu. Now let's talk about the food, oh boy! Every single dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors that took my taste buds on a wild ride. Honestly, Yun Nan Tea House is a hidden gem in Lucerne. Don't let its unassuming appearance fool you. If you're a fan of Chinese food or just looking for a mind-blowing dining experience, you gotta give this place a shot. To sum it up, my visit to Yun Nan Tea House was off-the-charts amazing. The cozy vibes, the friendly service, and the mouthwatering flavors all came together to create a dining experience I won't soon forget. Don't sleep on this culinary gem in Lucerne!

Escaping a hail storm in the midst of summer, we found ourselves in front of this beautiful little gem near the Kesselturm parking garage in the Old Town of Luzern. The fantastic yet subtle smell of fresh made Asian food reminded me of my many visits to China. Inside we found a charming owner who served me wonderful Jasmine Tea and my son the newest crave Bubble Tea. My Dim Sum was absolutely delicious and fresh. So was my son's plate of chicken with vegetables, which I only got to photograph after he already took a bite. My dessert, silk tofu, made from scratch, with a light syrup to sweeten was worth trying as the mixture between the tofu and syrup made a nice blend of flavor I hadn't experienced. But next to the tea and the food, what I really enjoyed, was the service and short but interesting conversation with the owner. Reminissing of my travels to China and finding in the Yun Nan Tea House an authentic moment of China. Worth going any time!

The first time I went here it felt cozy. Then I bought a set of tea cups. It was very pricey but since I have a nice tea pot at home I was thinking it would match, so i bought it. But it didn't so I returned the tea cups. Unfortunately, the lady didn't accepted them for the reason that after 8 days the payment were transfered to the company's bank account (she said). The thing is she didn't informed me that when I bought the article. And she was so firmed in saying that it wasn't their problem if the tea cups don't match. That's it! So I left unhappy and couldn't argue more. Learnings: Many stationary shops like Yun Nan Tea House don't value their customers satisfaction. Even by offering a replacement to the article, she didn't. In this days where stationary shops are decreasing, good communication and customer satisfaction should be a priority. Because one day only shops with the highest satisfaction rate will survive as their customers will keep on coming back. Remember that! In my case I will NEVER come back again! ...
