Coop City Luzern — Local services in Lucerne

I had a very bad experience at the restaurant. The staff here do not speak any English, esp local staff at the cashier who wears glasses, on duty at about 5pm. She had to walk bk to the Southasian kitchen staff to ask what our order was. When she gave me my change back, she like dropped the coins in my hands. No smile no thank you, do not make us feel welcome. I had the schnitzel w salad and was told i can take my own salad from the salad bar. I was not told i can only take one portion. When i went bk for another portion, the kitchen staff called out and said hello and i looked up and she gave me a thumbs up. After i sat dwn to consume it, the local swiss lady staff mumbled somethg to the Indian lady staff and then she told me i need to pay for the second portion. She said only one portion. So ridiculous when she didnt stop me and explain to me earlier. And the swiss lady staff just went to the cashier expecting me to pay. I paid but it was $10.95! Price of a full meal. I have a feeling she does not like foreigners, kept mumbling in Swiss, showed attitude so i think she is probably racist because i saw another review by a Chinese contributor. I am Chinese but not from China btw and i speak good English. The both of them continued to converse in Swiss and the man at the other table looked up, so i think they were still gossiping about me. This put a sour end to my otherwise fabulous day in Luzern. Food is not great either. Schnitzel was thick and dry. Other staff at the supermarket and clothes section were otherwise friendly...

One of the bigger COOP stores. They have almost all I need as a tourist. Bought breakfast for breakfast for the next two days as store will close on Sunday and Monday. A sale lady was kind enough and friendly even though I forgot to weigh the bunch of banana. I usually go to Aldi to shop. But lately coop has been pulling me. It's a wonderful place to shop. On my recent visit I bought a coffee machine, which only cost me 9 CHF and some wine for the weekend task of assignments. I will just say it : you LL go inside and you won't come outside without buying anything. Staff is helpful. You don't have to worry about quality....
