Bobby's Pub — Restaurant in Sankt Moritz

Really good and friendly service and a good beer (got to love having Hobgoblin on St Moritz!). Unfortunately the food was really bad. Beefburger was a reheated mass market frozen patty of the sort that is made from cheap reconstituted meat and you can tell by the taste, texture and the fact it has a smoothly formed shape on the edge. I didn’t think anyone did this in restaurants any more. It isn’t too much effort to season and form a beef patty from decent ground beef after all!?!

Would drink here again. But avoid...

Heute war ich Spontan das erste Mal im Bobby’s Pub in St. Moritz.

Angefangen hat es mit meiner Frage, „kann man hier etwas essen“? Die Antwort war auf Englisch, können Sie bitte Englisch sprechen. Als ich das mit nein quittierte, holte die Bedienung einen Kollegen der dann Deutsch verstand.

Ich kam um etwas zu essen, was ich mit einem grünen Salat und einem Cheeseburger 🍔 mit Pommes 🍟 auch tat.

Also der Salat war fein und die Pommes waren ok jedoch der Burger war nicht gut.

Was ich beim ganzen Besuch aber richtig schlimm fand war das die Bedienung zum einen richtig launisch war und am Schluss beim Zahlen im Kartenterminal bewusst einen falschen Betrag eingegeben hatte. Als ich intervenierte und das obwohl sie kein Deutsch verstand, hat sie mich komisch angeschaut. Natürlich musste sie es korrigieren. Ich komme auch vom Gastgewerbe und bin jetzt schon mehrere Jahre auf der Welt und gehe oft in Restaurants, aber so etwas freches habe ich noch nicht erlebt.

Ich schreibe niemandem vor was er zu tun hat, aber in einem solchen Ort wie St. Moritz wo ja nicht nur das Lokal, das Dorf, den Kanton sondern auch die Schweiz repräsentiert, würde ich eine solche Bedienung sofort entlassen.

A lovely cafe in St Mortiz on the way to the lake. We don't usually go for an 'english' style bar whilst we are travelling, but we just wanted something small on our stop over in St Mortiz. The food was exactly what we wanted, a nice burger and cordon bleu. The waitress was friendly and attentive. If you don't want a full slap up dinner, then Bobby's was ideal. Good for watching the fancy...
