This review is solely on their service, I walked away without a chance to get anything.

I understand that each country and city has its own culture. When I'm in Switzerland I understand that people are reserved and I wasn't expecting anything from the servers when I walk into a store. However, I have gotten really good services all around, until I walked into this place. I looked around the baked goods section at the front of the store. There were a couple groups ahead of me so I patiently waited for my turn. When the next waitress was ready (and everyone in front of me was helped), I walked towards her, before I could order, she served the lady right behind me. That's ok, I thought, the waitress probably didn't know I was next. So I waited for the other waitress to finish helping the person she was dealing with. When she was done, she asked who needed help and I walked forward and said hi and she looked away and helped a man beside me that came much later. Now this waitress knew I was there and I have been waiting because she looked at me a couple of times when she was helping the last person. Ok, I thought, this man right beside me is much older and he just kind of barged in so fine. When she's done with the man, she asked who else needs help (meanwhile I've been standing there looking at her the whole time), and she went to help another customer.

Of all the cities I visited, I have never encountered anything like this. I walked away empty handed and feeling quite humiliated. I will...

Dissapointing experience… Both waitresses were mean and disrespectful with the bare minimum knowledge of the English language. We weren’t able to sit at the front tables, so when one of them was available we kindly asked them to sit there and if there is a problem we could move by ourselves the hot chocolates we were drinking. (We had already seen at least two couples doing that).. She didnt say a thing but got really frustrated. Then she discussed it with the other mean one(the mean duo lol) and she came back saying that it is not possible cause she need that front table… Of course, the first ones who came by that time sat there without any problem… When we mentioned that later, she said that we couldn’t move tables cause we had already stuff on ours… Of course, I understand the discomfort that a change if tables would cause and I wouldn’t ask her to do it, if I hadn’t seen other ones do it… The place is really nice and with reasonable prices… It’s a pitty to destroy it by having those mean, disrespectful and unkind stuff…. She even was mean to one customer who didn't like their dish (she almost threw up)…. It’s a pitty… They destroy the magic atmosphere of the place… Go there only to buy some sweets, they were nice....

At first, we were very sceptical to stand in such a long queue but we realised that the queue was moving fast. Deciding to stay and wait 5 more minutes in that time we received our table and it was totally worth waiting for. The view on the lake was spectacular. We decided upon hot chocolate, apfelstrudel, kir royal and an espresso. Everything was super tasty. My partner doesn’t usually like whipped cream however here the one that complimented the hot chocolate as well as the dessert was truly delicious and tasted like home made. What also really deserves a recognition is the fact that not a very big amount of waitresses that were present in the cafe really made sure that every one of the guests received their orders quickly. A great place to rest, have a coffee, warm up with some chocolate or just enjoy the view with a glass of wine or champagne. A big plus for the store in front of the cafe, it has a big choice of chocolates and gift ideas. There as well, even though the queue was really big we could see it moving fast. Despite the rotation of customers is very big, the toilets were extremely clean. We would definitely recommend and come...

Best hot chocolate in town! If you really dig it, like I do, then order the pot! (on picture) You‘ll get 3 cups of delicious chocolaty liquid. The pastries are another a symphony of taste and variety💙! Tried the filled Berliner with powdered sugar on top! A classic, but man was it fresh! Unfortunately, as in many popular places, the quality of service left something to be desired. Before bringing the ordered pot of chocolate a wrong beverage was served. After we pointed out the error to the service person, she explained to us that we had certainly simply ordered wrong... well... We were quite a bit puzzled.😅 Alas, the later ordered milk tea then never made it to our table. However, the impeccable quality of the food and beverages made up for the rather blunt manner of the (possibly overworked) employees. And for what it’s worth - I would still recommend a visit anytime!😊

Food/drinks: A large selection of sweets, pastries, and chocolates but nothing spectacular. The walnut torte was average. They have good quality teas, which was a nice surprise for us aficionados. 3/5 Service: Adequate. Not super friendly, and actually a little slow. I had to hunt down the waitress for the bill. I always find cafes a little strangewhen you need to order food and drinks from different people. Here you can order drinks from the table waitress but if you want one of the sweets you have to go up to the counter yourself. There's probably a good reason for this but it's still a little inconvenient. 3/5 Ambiance: The table area is nicely done in an old (but not worn) style. Good views. You feel a little like you're at a cafe from another era. 4/5.
