We spontaneously hopped into this little, cute bistro and were pleasantly surprised. The service was very nice and welcoming. Quaint cafe by the cathedral and old library serving good food, wine and coffee. I’m addition to their menu, they have various daily specials which come with a side of salad. I had the pork ragù daily special which was nice and reasonably priced (about 20€). Their wine list also seems good too...

Das Klosterbistro Da Focacceria liegt im malerischen Stiftsbezirk von St. Gallen, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Gallusplatz. Die Umgebung besticht durch historische Architektur und eine ruhige Atmosphäre, ideal für eine entspannte Auszeit. Ein Besuch des Stiftsbezirks bietet sich gerade zu an.

Kulinarisch bietet das Bistro hausgemachte Spezialitäten wie ofenfrischen Focaccias. Die Getränkekarte umfasst verschiedene Weine und regionale sowie lokale Biere, die das gastronomische Angebot abrunden. Wir waren nur zum Trinken dort.

Die Terrasse im Klosterhof bietet sonnige und auch schattige Plätze. Das Innere des Bistros ist eher klein, aber gemütlich.

Die Bedienung ist korrekt, es sollte noch eine Stufe mehr Richtung freundlich möglich sein. Geduld sollte man auch mitbringen, trotz teilweisem Selfservice.
