la bocca City — Restaurant in St. Gallen

A lovely Italian restaurant situated in the middle of the town of St Gallen in Switzerland.

It is very popular, especially during lunch hours with all of the outside seating occupied when my son and I visited on a weekday.

We decided to eat indoors and were not disappointed. It is classically decorated, spacious and pleasing to the eye.

We had a wonderful friendly and amusing waiter who was very patient as we made our way to the extensive menu.

The food was delicious and served in good time.

Portions were also ample and more than enough to last us for the rest of the day.

Unfriendly and rude waiters and TOURISTS DISCRIMINATION ALERT. Watch out if you are not a local.

Edit: It's amusing to see their prompt reply below just by identifying customers' Google name without asking for it in person. They did not offer any alternatives, but perhaps this is how they keep the comments section clean :)

My experience with the waitress here was truly awful—so much so that it completely ruined my appetite for the day, and honestly, for days after. Her attitude was dismissive and unpleasant, making what should have been an enjoyable meal in the beautiful city of St. Gallen feel like a chore. It's disappointing that someone’s behavior can cast such a shadow over an otherwise wonderful place. I hope the management takes this seriously, as service like this doesn't reflect the charm and hospitality St. Gallen...
