Primavera — Restaurant in Thun

Here with more stories of the famous rude bald waiter. I wish we'd read the reviews first, but we didn't. It was pouring with rain and we came inside just after 5 to have a bite to eat. Keep in mind it was not the dinner rush, and the restaurant was mostly empty. We were mocked and criticized by our delightful waiter, for not speaking Swiss-German or French. It was a bit strange in a town known for tourism, but we just got on with it. I'd just eaten lunch late and wasn't very hungry, but my friend ordered a pizza and I ordered a soup. He was very cross that I didn't order more food and that we didn't order any drinks other than water (that we had to pay for).

The cross, sarcastic comments and dirty looks continued throughout our meal. It was almost comical.

Food-wise, friend's pizza was great. Pizza chef is clearly top notch. Minestrone soup was absolutely awful - frozen veggies floating in water that someone may have waved a stock cube in the direction of. It wasn't worth anywhere near the 9 CHF that he was so cross I was only spending. However, no amount of food deliciousness would convince me to eat there again....

We were treated very badly by the waiter, who was really aggressive with us for no reason at all. After a couple of rounds of this abuse we asked if there was a problem. He got even more aggressive so we asked for a manager. He sent over another waiter and she took over our table and was very helpful and had a great sense of humor so that made things better, but the first guy soured our experience.

We saw him act that way with other people and as the table behind us was leaving, they stopped and asked if we had a bad experience, too. We were both Americans so take from that what you wish.

On our way out we mentioned this to the owner and he was apologetic but acted as if he knew. If he knew he should’ve done something about it and not let people who are patronizing his restaurant to have to suffer through someone who has anger management issues.

The food was so so but the location was good. Maybe find another...

I don’t recommend this place!!

We had the most horrible experience there today!! One of the waiters was so rude with us, i was there with my wife and my 2 twin daughters (3 years old),

we was setting in the outside tables when he came to tell us in very rude way that our baby stroller was blocking the empty table behind us and he insist to move us to the last table on the line after we moved he came to take our order, when my wife start to tell him what she want to eat he cut her saying NO you can’t eat without taking a drink first!! We told him that all we need is eating pizza and macaroni, he reply NO you can’t this is the rules of the restaurant (he say it with a very very rude way even he’s face reaction was like “you’re no welcome in this place, leave”!! So i told him thank you we won’t need even to eat and take my wife and kids and...
