For the first time I've been to Ayverdi's. Earlier I read a lot about this place however never had the chance to pass by. Honestly speaking I went there with prejudice, thinking there might be a wanna be new concept but everything else will be the same. I was wrong! Yes, there is a new concept, you can order take away on several touch screens similar to other big chains and you can order dine-in dishes at the counter. Apart from the various options of kebab you also get the chance to order different side dishes than you would get in a regular kebab stall. After ordering you take your seat and once the code on your receipt is displayed on a huge screen you can pick up your food.
Let's talk about taste baby.... well once again I was wrong. The taste of kebab at this place is really different. Their yoghurt sauce has its unique taste, the durum bread is not soft and soggy and the meat tastes really yummy.
The outlet is clean, well maintained, furbished with nice furniture, i.e. with sofas and not garden chairs, there is a smooth music playing and it feels comfortable dining in there.
The only downside we've noticed was the strong food smell that's in the outlet, probably because the exhaust is not strong enough. Apart from that this place receives my 5 stars. Well done guys!
Oh by the way, their marketing concept is really cool when you think they have their own beer brand called Ay's...

Short: Mediocre food, high prices, you gotta take your food yourself, prices like a restaurant but taste below fast food average.
Long: It neither offers a restaurant experience, nor a fast food one. It is weirdly stuck in between. The prices are very high when compared with fast food (which it still is), almost restaurant prices, but the quality was very mediocre. I had better Kebab from much cheaper take aways in a train station hub. The meat just wasnt seasoned well. The bread was nice, but not very good either. All other ingredients were kinda in there but I honesly couldnt taste them out much. Everything just felt so bland. For the paid price I was also expecting to get the food served onto my table. But you still gotta take it yourself like a regular fast food place. Even McDonalds offers table service on some places. The only good thing about it is the branding and the style of their places. Right now its really only looks but no taste.
Until the food offers a true experience above fast food average, I might...
Read moreFood was OK, there are better local options at lower prices. The worst part of the experience was finding out they got the vegetarian option wrong (gave me kebab meat) only once i got home. I called up and they did prepare the correct item, however they would not deliver so i had to go out again to collect it. Neither the person on the phone or any of the staff once i got there apologised for their error or tried to retain me as a customer, instead i was greeted by funny looks or staff disappearing entirely. I found my item and left without looking back. As it turns out the falafel they prepared was dry in one half and drenched in sauce on the other half. Utterly disappointed, do...
