Staff is rude and violent. Avoid that place.
EDIT: Since I cannot respond to your message, I’ll write it directly here.
It’s really amazing how you turn reality. The story you told is very very interesting! Too bad it is completely offset.
Your gentle "door manager" did not tell us anything in the first place. At a certain point the barman/owner/whoever came out, being really rude and intimidating us to go away. (Please note we were consuming drinks that we bought in that bar and no one had told us anything yet)
Only then the doorman (probably in order to please the barman?) started stating that he had already told us repeatedly to leave. We pointed out that it wasn't true (maybe not in the nicest way, but your reaction in the first place was completely absurd and very rude).
This was the point when he started yelling at us, we told him to calm down and he deliberately physically attacked us. The barman almost immediately joined the aggression as well.
Your statement about the police and the fact that we should be escorted back to a cell is completely insane, especially considering the fact that the police was luckily there and you stopped for that reason. If anything, they even recommended us to sue you on the next day.
If I were you, I would really think well before formulating such statements. Also because there were at least 10 eye witnesses.
Perhaps we might not know all the laws that impose the precise seconds in which you cannot sit outside a place to consume drinks purchased in the same place, but we are all pretty sure that physically assaulting customers is not compliant with any...

I have been to this place only once with my work colleagues, and from our experience, I'm are pretty sure we won't visit this place ever again. Here is why:
We were seated at the table a few min before 7 PM. The waitress handled us the menus, which included an enclosure with a special drinks discount menu for the happy hour (5-7 PM). So, we quickly decided what we want to drink, and called back the waitress to order, in order to take advantage of the happy hour discounts. By the time the waitress came to our desk it was 7 sharp, and she told us that the happy hour expired (even though it was still 7 sharp, not 7 past). Furthermore she was very angry when we tried to argue about the timing.
I understand that in Switzerland everything has to be on time..., but I don't understand the rude behavior and why she had to give us the happy hour menu, when she knew that we wouldn't literally have time in 2 min before 7 to check the menu, decide and also order. In the end, it was only a 10 CHF total discount.
Otherwise the bar is average. Same beer at the same prices as...
Read moreService is very, very poor. Even for Zurich's standards. Here our experience :
We ordered some food (fried antipasti) with our drinks. 15 min after receiving the drinks, the food had not arrived. We had to remind the waiter who blamed it on his colleague who had finished his shift and left instead of simply apologising. we sat on a table for 4 on the side of the bar and 3 additional friends joined us. The waiter rudely stopped one of our friends to take an additional chair to join our table and asked us angrily to go to another bigger table. Since only half of the outside tables were empty and this was not a problem of chair capacity, we asked why we had to : answer "6 is ok, if you are 7 you need to change table". the table next to us also ordered some food (which took some time to arrive as well). When the waiter finally arrived with part of the dishes, one of the guys asked if the rest was coming. The waiter answered in a very unpleasant tone "sorry, I only have two hands".
So much for customer friendliness...
On top of that, the food is average. You can get much better for the same price.
We will definitely...
